Newt X Reader Imagine

Part 5

A little while has passed, and it's getting dark outside. You hear footsteps walk up to the door, and you see Newt. "Hey there, how're you holding up? Sorry, that took a little while longer than I thought it would, but I finally convinced him." Newt unlocks the door to the pit and helps you up out of there. His hand lingers on yours for a second as he looks at you. "Come on. The guys are throwing a little bonfire party to welcome you." You look a little into the distance and see a large bonfire and a bunch of boys around it dancing, and wrestling. You look over to Newt. "It's okay, we aren't going to hurt you. I'll make sure of that." He says grabbing your hand as he leads you to the party. You felt safe with Newt guiding you, so you follow behind. You both sit on the ground leaning against a log near the fire. You look over at Newt. "Can you explain what's going on here? Everything is happening so fast." You say looking at the ground. "There isn't much to say actually. We were all put here with our only memory being our name. This place is called The Glade. Outside of those walls is a giant maze. We believe it to be the only way out of this place, but Greviers make that very difficult. If you get stung by one then... well... let's just say that's very bad. The walls open and close at certain times, and only the runners are allowed in, but they have to come back at a certain time, or they are stuck out there for the night. And no one has survived a night in the maze.
