Later on that day I walk to the Med-Jacks. "You must be Y/N. I'm Clint, the keeper of the Med-Jacks." We share smiles and then immediately get to work. I liked learning with the Med-Jacks. Clint has been a good teacher so far, and I did enjoy it. But I want to be a runner more than anything. I couldn't stop thinking about when Gally is going to talk to Newt about it. "Well, Y/N I'd say you did pretty decent for your first day. Just try to be fully focused next time, things like this take all your attention." He pats my shoulder and walks away. Clint was right, if Newt and Gally decide not to make me a runner I'm going to have to have my head in the game for this fully. I just really hope they do. Newt suddenly walks inside and starts talking to Clint, as I help clean up for the day. They didn't talk long before Newt came over to me. "Hey Y/N, how was your first day on the job?" He grins at me.

"It was good actually, and very interesting. Clint said I did pretty decently." I say as I grin back at him. "Yeah, I heard. Good job on that. Sorry for not being around much today, we all have a job to do here, and mine was a pretty busy day." Clint walks over to us. "Hey, if you wanna head out you can. I think you've done enough for one day. I can take it from here. Thanks for the help." Newt and I smile at him as we walk out. "Well, I just wanted to check in on you. I have to head over and talk to Gally tonight." Oh god, I really hope he can convince Newt to let me be a runner. "We will talk more tomorrow, okay? I promise." He takes my hand and pulls me in for a hug. We stand there for a minute and then part our separate ways. I felt oddly safe in Newt's presence.
