Chapter 3

Soon all of our classes were over and it was time to start heading home, my mood darkened at the thought of my grandmother, I tried to hide it though, I walked out of the school, trying to avoid any social interaction, I made it out without Izu or Kacchan catching me, I laid down my board a started off, I stopped in front of my house, my hand on the knob, I knew my grandma was waiting for me, but I wasn't ready, I sighed and turned around, that's when I saw Izu walking home, I smiled and set down my board, I needed to say hi to Inko as well so it's perfect, 'I need him not to see me.... I could shift into something? Something small, stealthy....I got it!'  I closed my eyes and transformed into a small black cat, my eyes remained the same, I was skinny and small, I silently trailed behind Izu, we got to his house and it was the same as I remembered, I hid in the bushes when he opened his door and walked inside, I waited a moment or two before coming out and changing back, I brushed off my skirt and knocked on the door, a small plump women answered, "Hello?" I laughed slightly, "Hi Inko, been awhile." She gasped and pulled me inside, she hugged me tightly and I hugged back, "Oh....oh my, I'm so sorry about your parents dear, they were amazing." I laughed, "Yea they were, anyways," I paused, letting go of Inko, "Where's Izu? I thought i'd Come say hi...." Inko smiled and pointed up the stairs, I smiled, "Thanks!" I ran up the stairs and knocked on his door, "L-Leave me a-'hic!'-alone mom." Was he crying?! I busted the door open, he was in the middle of his room on his knees, his face in his hands, I shut the door and ran up to him, I sat in front of him and I pulled his body into me, hugging him tightly, he just cried more, I sighed, "Hey, hey.....it's okay...." he just sobbed harder, I didn't want to but I used to sing to him when we were kids, it always calmed him down, I breathed in, readying myself.....

"Your all on your own, your own" 

I paused, he clenched my shirt tighter, 

"So what have gone blind, have you forgotten what you have and what is yours."

"Glass half empty, glass half full, well either way you won't be going thirsty, count your blessings not your flaws"

I look down at him, he wasn't crying anymore but he was still clenching onto me and shaking violently, I continued,

"You don't get what all this is about, your too wrapped up in your self doubt, you got that young blood, set it free,"

I ended the song early and looked down at him, he was still trembling slightly, but he had a small smile on his face, that made me smile, we sat there hugging in silence for awhile, I stroked his hair and rubbing his back, finally he sat up and sniffed, he looked at me and smiled, "Wow, I didn't know you could still sing!" I laughed, "Well....." he got up and helped me up, "I'm not gonna pry, but wanna tell me why you were crying?" He smiled, "Nope!" I laughed, "Ok then, what do ya wanna do?" He thought for a moment, "Well, we can get a snack from downstairs, but first I need to wash my face," I nodded and smiled, "Sounds good!" I sat down on his bed and waited, he came back a little later, his face had its original color and he looked healthy, I smile and followed him downstairs, we grabbed a snack and Izu went to talk to his mom about something, I sat there, sipping my juice and eating my Ritz crackers, "Y/n, come here!" I obliged and walked over to them, "What's up?" "Well, the Bakugo's are coming over for dinner tonight, would you like to stay?" I smiled wider, "Yea!" "Well first you need to ask your grandmother," I groaned, "Fine," I pulled out my phone and dialed the hag's number, "What do you want?" She growled on the other side, I scoffed, "I'm staying over for dinner at Inko's," she scoffed, "I didn't give you permission," I growled, "And I didn't ask," We sat in silence for a moment before she hung up, I smiled triumphantly and turned back around to face the two, "Yea she said I can stay!" Inko looked confused, "B-But....." I laughed, "Don't worry about her, she-" I was cut off by my phone ringing, I answered without looking at the caller, "Yello," "I'm coming too" it was the hag, "Huh? No your not," I could fell the venom dripping in my voice, knowing she only wanted to come to piss me off, "Well, I had Inko's number from your parents, I just never told you, I'm texting her now," at that moment Inko's phone went off and she wobbled over, "Oh! Your grandmother asked if she could come as well!" I whipped my head to her, 'NO' I mouthed, swinging my hand across my neck, "Oh Y/n! Don't be rude!" She texted back, soon Grandma laughed on the other side of the phone, "Guess what! Imma coming!" Then she hung up, I groaned, thanks Inko, I dragged Izu back upstairs, grumbling slightly, I flopped onto his bed and put one arm under my head while the other scrolled through the latest news report, Izu sat on the floor, scribbling notes in his hero analysis journal, soon we heard the door open downstairs, I prayed it was the Bakugo's, I looked at Izu but he was already at the door, he opened it and walked downstairs, soon after he was walking back upstairs, smiling slightly, "K-Kacchan's here," I jumped up and ran downstairs, "Mitsuki!" I yelled running down the stairs, "Y/n!" I've always had a tight relationship with Mitsuki, sometime I used to go to Kacchan's house just to talk to his mom, I engulfed her in a hug, "Oh my god! I'm so sorry about your parents!" I laughed slightly, hiding the panic about the fact that she announced this in front of Izu AND Kacchan, she let me go and gestured to a shocked Kacchan, I guess he didn't know I would be here, he hid his shock and pulled me upstairs, Izu followed, he threw me onto the bed, "PERSONAL PROBLEMS?? THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOUR PARENTS?" "Kacchan calm down, just let me explain," he let out a string of curse words before throwing himself into the desk chair, "WELL?? SIT THE FUCK DOWN SHITTY DEKU!" Izu did as he was told and st next to me, trembling slightly, I forced out a laugh, getting ready to tell my life story.
