"Moooooom?!" I jolt awake, seeing Phoenix in front of me.
"What?" I groan, closing my eyes again. I lay my arm over my eyes once I get a headache. I groan softly "Shit... I shouldn't have gone out..."
"It's 7 am, mom." she answers with attitude.
"So?" Phoenix groans.
"You must drop Griffin and I at school."
"Take the bus." I turn over, hugging my pillow.
"Mom, that'll ruin my reputation."
"You didn't even go to school yet. What fucking reputation are you talking about?" she sighs and shakes me "Fiiiine." I rip my blankets off of me, stretching my back and arms, hearing that satisfying cracking noise. I grab Phoenix's hand and take her downstairs to where Griffin stands by the door.
"Finally." he sighs in relief.
"Yeah, yeah." I respond, placing Phoenix next to Griffin. I stand still, not bothering to open the door or get my car keys.
"Uh, mom? Aren't you gonna drop us off a sc--"
"Shut up, Phoenix. Look, I have a headache and I'm not in the mood for your shit. You're gonna take the bus." Griffin slaps his head with his palm.
"Damn. I forgot about that."
"I'm not going on the bus." Phoenix folds her arms. I take out my portal gun, shooting a portal in the ground.
"Guess you wouldn't have a problem with this, huh?" I push her into the portal and glance at Griffin "Don't make this harder on yourself."
"Sure thing, mom. Hope you feel better soon." Griffin states and jumps in. I put my portal gun away, clutching my head. I wince while walking to the kitchen. I make some coffee and down it immediately. I shiver then make some waffles.
"I wonder what Rick's doing..." I whisper while cutting into my first waffle "Probably shouldn't bother him." I start eating my waffle.
"Mommy?" I hear Venus. I stand up and walk into the living room, where Venus stands, holding a doll.
"Hey, angel. What's up?" she smiles warmly at me and hands the doll to me.
"Wanna pway?"

"Would you like some tea?" I ask Venus, holding a teapot. Yeah, we're having a tea party with toys, but it's nice to play with Venus.
"Yes, pwease." I smile and pour the tea into her cup. I'm extremely tired and kind of sad about Peter, but I need to be happy around Venus. She's too young to understand. I don't even understand "Can I have a c-cookie?" I nod, she stands up and reaches for the plate of cookies next to her stuffed dinosaur. My phone rings, I stand up from my cushion, walk into the hallway while taking my phone out from my pocket "Mommy?" I glance at Venus with a sigh.
"Mommy will be right back. I just need to take this call, OK?" she nods and carries on with her tea party. I look back at my phone and see Craig, my boss, is calling me. I groan and answer "What? I'm busy."
"Just got a new job for ya." Craig says with a deep voice, sounding quite happy.
"But I'm busy."
"Can't it wait?" I glance back at Venus with a small smile.
"It can't..." to be honest, I just want to spend as much time with Venus now before she gets too old... They grow up so fast.
"C'mon. You're the best at this." I sigh.
