Darkness... That's all I see... All I feel... I feel cold... Frozen... It feels like I'm dead... But I can hear everything around me... The leaves ruffling... Footsteps... A bird chirping... A beeping sound... Constantly beeping... I hear a lot... But can they hear me? I feel a warm breeze wash over me... I shiver... But I can barely feel it...

"She's still alive, Phoebe..." I hear a rusty voice say... He sounds distant... Yet he feels so close...

"It's Phoenix..." Phoenix... My daughter... I wanna hold her... But... I just don't have the energy... Or strength.

"Doesn't matter... G-go inside... Get your mind off of her..." the rusty voice speaks again... I hear a hum... Then footsteps... A door opens and closes... I hear someone shift... "Damn... You're really messed up... What happened to you...?" the voice whispers... Trying to talk to me... "Maybe this'll help..." he rubs something together and presses them against my chest, giving me a shock. I try opening my eyes, but it doesn't work.

"Why aren't you waking up...? It's been days... What's happening...?" I feel hands touch my lips and open my mouth. I feel something pour down my throat, slightly burning my tongue. I try reacting to this, but all I can do is softly groan "Hm... Looks like she's getting better...."

~~Time skip~~

It's been a while... Just sitting and listening... It's boring... Laying all alone... It's lonely... I hear the door open again... Footsteps... Again, my mouth opens and the warm liquid slides down my throat.

"Why aren't you waking up...?" I hear Griffin ask...

"She will..." says the rusty voice... He never left me... Stayed right next to me... Sometimes, he would walk around... But he never left... "She's fine... Just... Sleeping..."

"For hours...?" I hear a sigh and someone getting up from a seat.

"The coffee isn't kicking in... Yet..." I feel something warm lay on my cold cheek.

"Aren't you a scientist...? Can't you use something...? Wake her up...?"

"There is something..." the rusty voice comments "But... It's risky..."

"Please try it... I miss her... We all do..." I hear another sigh.

"Sure... But... You're gonna have to go..."

"Whatever you say..." I hear footsteps again and the door open then close... I hear shifting... Scratching...

"This is it..." I hear footsteps again... Then I feel something jab into my arm... I squeeze my already closed eyes and shiver... "It's working..." I breath healthier than before, slowly cracking my eyes open... A bright light burns my eyes... Then something blocks the light... Something ash-blue...

I feel in control again... Something touches my face, since I can't make out what it is, I punch the blue thing. I sit up straight and jump onto the thing, taking us to the ground. The thing lays flat on the ground as I pin it down. My vision slowly comes back and I raise my fist. I give all my attention to my arm, which doesn't have any marks on it...

"What...?" I whisper. I hear someone clear their throat, I look down and see a light tanned guy with spikey ash-blue hair. He wears a lab coat and a light blue shirt. He looks old, but not ugly. Aged to perfection, am I right?
