I got home that night and I was at my mom's. I enter the house..

Mom:" Your father talked to me about what happened!"

Me:"I know I'm a horrible child !"

Mom:"Look, I am not proud but I know that the divorce has been hard on you, so you aren't grounded with me!

Me:" Ok"

Mom:"So, you have been happier lately, did you meet someone?"

Me:" How did you know ?"

Mom:" I'm your mother, I know you ! So who is it?"

Me:"He's name is Carlos, he is nice, funny, cute but I can't see him anymore!"

Mom:" Why?"

Me:" Dad forbade me to see him!"

Mom:" So he is the guy your dad told me about?!"

Me:"I guess so!"

Mom:"Do you like him?"

Me:"I really do! But I really want to gain Dad's trust again!"

Mom:" Why don't you invite him tomorrow, I want to see if he is a thug like your dad said!"

Me:"I swear, he isn't, I really like him!"

I really wanted him to make a good impression to my mom so. The next day it was Saturday, I called him and told him to come join me in front of my mom's house..

Carlos :"What's up? Why did you call me?"

Me:" I want you to meet my mom!"

Carlos:"Why? I thought we were just friend!"

Me:"Look, I really like you !"

Carlos:"You need to stop playing with my feelings Issys!"

Suddenly mom opens the door finding me and Carlos arguing.

Mom:" You must be Carlos?!"

Carlos:" Hi miss Delarosa!"

Mom:" Come in, I want to meet you!"

Carlos then looks at me with anger in his eyes and enters my house. He then takes his shoes off and sits on the couch..

Mom:"So Carlos, how old are you?"

Carlos:"16 in a few weeks."

Mom:"What job do your parents have?"

Me:" Mom!!"

Carlos:"It's alright, my mom is a nurse at the Oakwood hospital!"

Mom:"What about your dad?"

Me:" Hum, it's kind of late you should go!"

Carlos:"It's ok, my dad died recently."

Mom:" Oh, I am so sorry!"

Carlos:"No, Yeah, it's alright!"

Mom:"My daughter really likes you! So don't play with her feelings alright!"

Carlos:" I won't, I promise!"

My mom then leaves to go get some water for all of us..

Carlos:"So you like me?"

Me:" Kind of."

Carlos:" Then why would you lie?"

Me:"My dad literally hates you and told me not to hang out with you but my mom wanted to meet you before getting to conclusions!"

Carlos:"So we can't date?"

Me:"Not until I regain my dad's trust!"

Carlos:"Then I'll wait!"

The fact that he would wait, prooves me that I didn't do the wrong choice! I really like him and I am excited with what the future reserves for us..
