it had been a couple days since percy had fallen into the river styx and achieved iron skin, or was it a few hours? he remembers blacking out while he was trying to rest and woke up to three old ladies staring him down with the same exact cold, heartless stare.

"perseus jackson." the three hags greeted with their raspy, ancient tones, almost adenoidal. the son of poseidon rolled his eyes, it seems death has finally come.

"what do you want now? want me to help you knit zeus a new pair of socks or have you come to cut my line?" percy asked bluntly, not wanting any part of their bullshit riddles.

"fear not, perseus. we have merely come to give you the blessing you need to fulfill your destiny." the one on the far right said myseriously, smiling grimly with her old teeth.

"blessing? destiny? don't tell me i have another one."

"you do indeed, young one. do you want to accept it or would you rather die a slow, painful death by the hands of the monsters you previously killed?" the one on the far left questioned earnestly, raising her left eyebrow waiting for an obvious answer.

percy sighed. "what is it?" he fiddled with the hem of his shirt restlessly as he awaited their answer. even though the son of the sea had thought he was finally rid of these ridiculous prophecies that seemed to always circulate around him for some reason, he did prefer another destiny rather than die at this point in his life. he didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to his mom whom he had talked with the day before the suspicious earthquake.

"you will fulfill your role as wrath, the leader of the seven deadly sins. you will carry with you the blessing, or burden, of the wrath sin as an undefined and unbeatable deity embodiment of rage. you will have companions, similar sins who are in the same situation as you. you must all unite and stick together if you ever hope of surviving this pit, making it your home and buying access to the earth world. they are currently scattered around tartarus and you must find each other in order to master your new found skills and fulfill your roles. we will come to you all at a later time when you have met these requirements." the middle one finally spoke the brief explanation of his destiny, percy was far from satisfied but he decided to bite his tongue back, he had disrespected them enough already.

he nodded reluctantly and the fates raised their hands at him and started to mumble in ancient greek. percy's body started to glow red and levitate above the ground, seemingly stuck in time as his glow became brighter. he closed his eyes out of instinct, but was forced to open them again, they were glowing a terrifying crimson red.

when the fates had stopped chanting their little incantations, they flashed in a mirror and handed it to percy and vanished, leaving the demigod by himself again. when the glow died down, he took a deep breath. so far, he still had his impenetrable skin and his clothes on. glancing at the mirror anxiously, his eyes widened in shock and almost dropped the small, square shaped mirror.

percy now had a massive tattoo that covered his entire left cheek, it was a tattoo, eating an endless loop of spikes. he was reminded of the anime, which was ironically also called seven deadly sins, he knew that the captain of that seven deadly sins, meliodas, was also a wrath sin but percy had a better looking tattoo. it was the word wrath in ancient greek, Οργή stretched across his cheek with a simple dragon stretching though it.

percy also noticed that his eyes were different. he still has his signature sea-green eyes he inherited from his dad but he had a ring of crimson around his iris, the son of poseidon found it fascinating. he had also noticed that his jawline that been sharpened and he had slightly higher cheekbones, it didn't seem like a major difference but it made percy look more mature and, dare he say, handsome.

the eighteen-year-old chuckled to himself and bend down to grab his sports bag, shoving the mirror inside roughly. grabbing his backpack and swinging it across his shoulder, he set off to find the other sins.

who knows, maybe there was a familliar face among them.
