a t-shirt flew in luke's direction, landing on his face as the sound of rummaging continues as if the t-shirt had been there all along. caleb laughs at luke's iritated face, taking the t-shirt off his face and glancing at it. it was a simple black h&m shirt that had the logo printed on the top right hand corner.

"am i supposed to change into this?" luke questions as he darts his eyes between his two companions awkwardly. percy rolls his eyes and chucks a pair of jeans in his direction, this time luke catches it.

"and that."

it's luke's turn to roll his eyes as he turns a corner and begins undressing. he quickly puts the clothes on and brings out his old, tacky ones and puts them in front of percy who stuffs them in a plastic bag, to keep it separated from the clean clothes, and shoves it in his sports bag.

"okay, so i'm guessing that you're a sin because you're down here in tartarus and you died a few years back because percy cried when he saw you." caleb said as he took a wrapped sweet from percy's bag.

"caleb, shut up and stop eating the food." percy demands as he swings the sports bag over his shoulder and grabs his backpack off the floor.

"jeez, perc. i was just hungry." caleb said innocently, continuing to eat the wrappy sweet.

"uh, yeah. i'm the sin of envy or something like that. and yeah i died in two thousand and nine. luke castallan, son of hermes." luke introduced himself with a gentle smile and stuck his hand out for caleb to shake which he did. he showed caleb his tattoo that was written across his right inner arm. it was the word envy written out in ancient greek, ζηλεύω.

"i'm caleb hurley, son of hypnos and the sloth sin. born in ninteen eighty four and died in two thousand." caleb shook luke's hand firmly as he looked into his blue eyes. he couldn't tell much, since this guy was obviously trained to hide his emotions, but he could tell there was an overwhelming amount of remorse in his eyes. for what? caleb had no clue. it was also obvious that this luke guy cared about percy a good lot, so there was nothing to worry about.

"cmon, we need to find the others."

nico paced around outside his cabin as will tried to calm him down. it had been a week and two days since he had heard anything from percy and it was starting to worry him because he hadn't gotten word back from him. nico had told everyone at camp that percy had left because of 'family issues', it was the only reasonable explanation they would take. when he looked among the crowd, however, he notcied annabeth's eyes droop down, almost guiltily.

"will, will, will. what if he's been kidnapped? what if he's fell in a hole that was deprived of water? what if he's been critically injured? what if he's dead?" nico panicked as he increased his pace, but will held by the shoulder gently.

"hey, it'll be okay. i'm sure he's just-"

"what? have you been keeping in touch with percy, nico?" annabeth said worridly as she approached him quickly, jogging from her spot in front of the demeter cabin.

"and you haven't, annabeth? did something happen between you two?" nico asked curiously. something inside told him that annabeth was percy's reason for leaving. she had been acting suspicious lately, running around in the middle of the night, distracting herself with mountains of work and skipping dinner almost every night to go to the fireworks beach. will eyed annabeth suspiciously, even though he was the one comforting nico, he himself couldn't help but be worried as well. and the fact that annabeth hadn't been keeping in touch with percy even though she was his girlfriend seemed very off to him.

"uh," she paused, she knew lying would only make the situation worse. "i dumped him for a really stupid reason but then he ran off after he snapped at me. i went to apologise and try to get back with him the morning he left but he was gone. i tried iris messaging but it didn't connect. i'm really worried, so please," she begged, worried out of her mind. even though she had dumped him, it didn't mean her feelings magically disappeared. she had been blinded by her want to rebuild the father-daughter relationship she once had with her dad that she didn't even realise she was giving up her relationship with percy, the one person who hadn't left her - willingly - ever since they met. "at least tell me if he's doing okay."

"yo-you. if you had been your normal i'm the smartest bitch here on campus self and actually thought through your decisions then maybe, just maybe, he would still be here and not in fucking canada! what happened to the daughter of athena that got us through the second titan war? the one that percy fell in love with? the one that got us through gaea's return? you've done nothing but let yourself go!" nico snapped aggressively, ready to pounce on annabeth but was held back by will. nico was practically seething, you could see his anger through the redness of his face. he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath, just like will had taught him when it came to his anger. he grabbed will's hand and intertwined it with his, feeling the familliar comfort of his boyfriend calm him down tremendously. "the last time he called, he was doing okay. still trying to find a place to stay but he was doing alright, i heard he was going to pop in to see if his friend would let him crash at his place for a while. but that was it, i was expecting a call yesterday but we got nothing."

the daughter of athena looked down as the remainder of the brightness in her eyes diminished, leaving a hollow look in her grey eyes. "thank you, nico." she muttered, walking off to her cabin in a sorrowful heap.

"you did the right thing, telling her what she wanted. it may not look it, but you can tell by the way she's distracting herself with work that she blames herself for percy's sudden disappearance, even if you said it was family matters. i'm proud of you, sunshine." will grinned at his boyfriend proudly, a glorious spark in his eyes. the son of hades felt a faint blush creep onto his cheeks and he looked down as he smiled sheepishly.

"thanks, will."
