percy was getting more and more frustrated as time went by. it had been a week in tartarus since they had gone shopping for their clothes and food yet they still had made no progess with their house, their destinies or even their powers. it was driving him made with anticipation. the son of poseidon was currently gripping his hair in frustration over the living room 'table'.

after they had gone shopping for their clothes, percy sent caleb and leonardo to visit the rainbow goddess, iris to purchase long lasting, organic foods, while he sent maya and kamala to design their sin uniforms and their new signature weapons in their room. once they were finished, he would later ask tyson to manufacture the weapon designs and he would call in a favour from the titans to manufacture their uniforms.

but that didn't solve their home issue, or their need for more weapons. he could ask the romans for some imperial gold but they didn't have anyone who was roman on their team except percy who was planning to visit nyx, goddess of the night. if he called tyson now for a request to make spare weapons and then call again to manufacture their signature weapons, it would overflow tyson's team's workload on top of the work they already get from poseidon. he'd need someone who could make their spare weapons, their permanent home and find a sustainable income.

frustrated, percy stabbed riptide into the table in pen form. he dug it in so deep that only the cap was sticking out. it was time he visited the goddess of the night.

he went to grab a denim jacket he had recently bought from their shopping trip and exited the house. in all honesty, he had no idea where he was supposed to go or what he was supposed to do once he got there. was he supposed to bring an offering or a gift to win her favour? was he supposed to dress a peticular way? ugh, when are those blasted fates when you need them.

a bright flash appeared before percy, making him recoil at the sudden light and shield his eyes. speak of the devil, he thought.

"young perseus," they all said in unsion, sharing a cranny smile. "if you plan to go to nyx, our mother, you must convince her to aid you in your works. but you must also promise to aid her in hers. if you ask for something, you must give something of equal value in return. it is that simple, do you understand us?"

percy nodded, contemplating his options in his head. "what about our roles and powers as sins? what are we even supposed to be here for?"

"we will come at another time to discuss that." the one on the right declared as she waved a hand over herself and her sisters, flashing them away. percy could only sigh and pulled out the magic map he had bought.

~ ~ ~

nyx's palace was a building of greatness. it reached a whopping size of around eighty feet and stood in all its dark glory, the walls seemed to be made of solid shadow, creating divisions of the east, south, west and north wings. the entrance of the palace was a gigantic archway made of dark roses and vines, it was beautfiul yet terrifying at the same time.

percy wondered if hermea was present or not, and if she would help him in his quest to seek nyx's aid. they seemed like the only deities in tartarus that would even consider the option of creating a mutual alliance. he took a deep breath and stepped foot into the building, steeling his nerves.

he walked down the hallways that was decorated with beautiful paintings of historical events, there was even one of nyx holding a baby boy, draped in a blue baby blanket. percy reached the end of the corridor, in front of a grand entrance that was littered with intricate designs of ancient greek letters, almost like magic inscriptions. he took a deep breath and pressed his palm against the cold, stygian iron door and pushed it gently.

the throne room was something to behold, years and years of history enscribed into its walls. a levitated platform stood in the centre of the room, holding up two almost identical thrones. on the platform's right, there was a gold throne that seemed to be the one of the only sources of light in the room, glimmering in all it's glory. percy was briefly reminded of the goddess, hermea, maybe that was her throne. on the platform's left was a white throne, hovering inches above the ground and glowing brightly, mirroring the kind of light that is seen whenever deities 'flash'.

as if she had been summoned, the left throne on the platform began to blur as a shadow began forming in its seat. when the throne cleared, a black haired lady sat on it proudly with her back straightened. her presence screamed power, a feeling that percy didn't get too often, even in the face of his father.

she was gorgeous. her black, silky hair was woven gently into a dutch plait that was swung across her left shoulder, leaving behind a few loose baby hairs. the woman's face was the colour of teakwood, dark and glistening. so that's where thanatos got it from, huh. her jawline was sharp, like it was going to cut you half if you dared touch it. her eyes were magical, as if they were newly born stars, shimmering in contrast against the space's darkness. she radianted elegance, something that percy wouldn't generally describe her with since their last encounter. but something was different, new even. what was it? had it happened when gaea had been sealed away? the son of poseidon couldn't place his finger on it. she looked like a fallen angel, one that had fallen out of the favour of the christian god.

"perseus jackson." she greeted. her voice was melodic, calm, like she was trying to put you in a trance of comfort. "you return to my palace after three years. i assume it is not for a friendly visit?" she perked one of her eyebrows up. yup, she was different. the nyx he had met three years ago was dead set on killing him.

"i, uh," percy stammered, before a red wave of comfort came over him, calming him down. "i am here to propose a deal."

this book's going to be like those really long books that like show percy's journey and how like he and the team get stronger, so there's not going to be any massive time skips. the main event is going to start in like twenty sixteen but by that time the sins will be chronologically two years older.

for example kamala is fourteen so she would be sixteen biologically by the time the main event starts but she would stop ageing by then because she will have mastered her sin by then.

anyway have a good day! i hope you are enjoying.

i've decided to rewrite this ugh
