Reed's POV
Mom seemed to become antsy when we arrived from school. After the little mishap I try keeping a close eye on her. Blair is downstairs with the guys, minus Zander of course. "Reed?" my moms voice called from down the hall "yeah?" I answered walking down the hall and standing in her door way. "I need to talk to you" she breathed out patting the spot next to her. Hesitantly I sat next to her, flicking her wrist she looked her soundproof doors "this is so hard for me" she cried softly.
"Tell me" I pleaded her she took a deep breath in and then looked me dead in the eyes "I have to leave soon" she told me crying.
Rea's POV
The moon goddess came to me in my sleep telling me I have to leave. "When do we leave?" he asked dead serious "not we baby I" I sobbed. "Mom you can't leave us" he said angry "it's not my choice" I croaked out "who's it then?" he hiss outraged. "The moon goddesses" I whispered knowing he could hear "where does Blair and I go?" he chuckled without humor "I'm sorry that's all I can tell you for now" I sobbed harder when he walked out slamming the doors as he went. 'Keep your friends close, and enemies closer' I linked him but he blocked me.
'You can't stop fate' my moms voice rang in my head 'I can't but I will try my damn hardest to' I growled at her.
Reed's POV
I stormed form the house angry. My mom couldn't leave me. Blair. The life she built. But she's going to toss it all away in the blink of an eye. I shifted into Blaze and let him take over.
The rest was a blur.
Zander's POV
"Are you sure boss?" One of the rouges asked "positive" I grinned and shook hands with him. You might think this is sick and twisted but I need to make things right. Even if it means getting rid of unwanted guests. My mom and dad won't be pleased but this way I can at least have my family back. My wolf Titan didn't agree with this he just whined and didn't say anything. "It will be done on her birthday" I demanded them.
"Yes boss" he stuck out his hand and I shook it. I just sealed the deal.
Keep your friends close and enemies closer.
Reed's POV
Blaze took his time going home but he caught some having meeting in the woods. And the voice is awfully familiar "it will be done on her birthday" the familiar voice said "yes boss" a deep gruff voice said. It chilled me to the bone and I opened my mind link to tell my mom about it but her voice came from my mind earlier 'keep your friends close and enemies closer.' Something inside me clicked and the familiar voice stepped from the trees and I saw just a few above the ground. He shifted and ran off to his territory "I can't tell mom, I need to find out more" I talked to myself while flying back home.
These words repeated in my head 'keep your friends close, and your enemies closer'.
