Gotham
Hayley's circus
Tuesday 8 am

The team was confused about the lack of work at the circus. Everyone always seemed to be minding their own business.

It was about an hour after Wally/Dan saw Dick, Hayley and a bunch of circus folk leave the circus without a word on the last day that the circus was spending in Gotham that they got an update from Batman about the next target 'Wayne enterprises'.

'Wayne enterprises is one of the most advanced companies in the world. It also provides funds for the Justice League.' They remembered Batman's words.

"We'll need to be extra careful. Last time the guy got away from us." Roy/Dane stated.

"Yeah, and most of the circus folks just disappeared without a word." Artemis/Diane added.

They continued talking until they were interrupted by Ray one of the backstage worker's arrival.

"Hey, Dangers do you know where everyone disappeared to?" He asked.

"No, we were just talking about it." Connor/Dean answered.

The man's expression didn't change but Megan/Dawn could feel him getting irritated and anxious.

"Thanks anyway." The man said before leaving but not before accidentally bumping into the martian. "Sorry."

Gotham cemetery
Tuesday 8:15 am

The circus members, Richard, Hayley, Damian, Jason, and Dick's grandfather all stood in front of the graves of the two famous flying Graysons. The best trapeze artists of their time.

'Ladies and gentlemen The Flying Graysons.'

Flashbacks of that night ran through everyone's heads except for Damian and Jason who were standing a bit farther away from the graves in order to allow the circus folks to grieve.

'Dick.'

'Mamă! Tata! Trezește-te! Te rog trezeste-te!'
(Mom! Dad! Wake up! Please wake up!)

'Somebody call an ambulance!!'

'Dick, where's Dick?!'

'I'm sorry for your loss.'

'The wires were cut.'

Richard Grayson stood there in front of his parent's graves doing his best to hold back the tears but failing as a small river flowed down his cheeks. He tensed up when he felt a hand on his shoulder, but looking up he saw that the hand belonged to his grandfather who was giving him a sad look.

'Happy birthday my little Robin. Now that you're six you can join us on the trapeze tonight. Aren't you excited?'

The young boy looked at his grandfather before whipping away his tears. He noticed most of the circus crew's expression mirrored his. Tear stricken and filled with grief.

What a horrible sixth birthday present.

Hayley and the circus crew returned to the circus after visiting their deceased family members graves (the circus is one big family), but not before each giving Richard a hug and wishing him a happy birthday.
