                                                                                    Cheryl's POV

While Toni is driving us home so I can get my stuff for Kevin's sleepover I start thinking about me being a serpent. I cant tell Toni. At least not the actual reason why. "Tell me what?" She says smirking. She must be kidding. "Can you take 1 minute and not go snooping in my brain?" I say aggravated. "I can't control what I hear and what I can't hear" She says turning in her driveway. "And there must be something your hiding if you can tell me" She says facing me. I huff and try to get out the door but she locked it. "Can I have some privacy sometimes. It's none of your dam business" I said gritting my teeth. "You're funny. I've seen every part of your body so there's no privacy in this relationship" She says laughing at the end. I huff and cross my arms and face away from her. "I need to go to Kevin's house. You know cause you want me too and I really didn't have a choice now did I?" I say getting annoyed. That's when she grabbed my face and gently faced me towards her. "Im sorry baby. Not my place to be in your brain without your permission. No matter what I've seen you still have your own privacy and I also have my own. I love you okay?" I look at her. I lean in but instead of kissing her I unlock the door and get out. I walk to the door and unlock it. I walk upstairs and change my clothes and get in the shower. While im in there I hear her come in the room. I know she apologized but im still mad. When im done I get out the shower and dry up and put the towel around me. I pull out my makeup and only put a little bit on. I walk out of the bathroom and don't see Toni. "I really hope she didn't leave all ready to do whatever she was doing" I say out loud. I sigh and go into my closet. I see my serpent jacket inside a winter coat to hide it. Maybe I should tell Toni. I won't tell her why I need the protection tho. And I need to keep it so I might as well do it.

                                                                                 Toni's POV

She's definitely hiding something. But what though? What if she's cheating. What if she doesn't love me. I need to get out of here. I can't stay here. Im having a panic attack in my room right now. I look at the bathroom door and hear the shower turn off. She can't see me. I run downstairs. Im so hungry. UGH, why is everyone so fake. First Katie and now Cheryl. Who else is lying? I see Cheryl walk downstairs in her ripped jeans and her red heels with a white crop top and her......Serpent jacket? I knew I seen it before. "Before you ask questions, why the fuck you look like you been running a marathon" She ask me coming closer. I stay quiet. "Nothing sorry im just really hungry" I say. "Okay well we need to talk before I leave" I nod and sit down and she sits next to me on the couch. "Im a serpent. I didn't want to tell you because you might think im weak" She says looking down. I grab her hand. "You will never be weak in my eyes. You're the strongest person I know. And it's not my place to go in your brain without permission. It's just I have doubts sometimes that im not good enough for you. Especially what's happening with Katie, but that's not the point. Im truly sorry" I say looking in her eyes. She nods. "But why did you join the serpents anyways?" She sighs. "Protection from my mother. I have to do an initiation because Jughead threatened to take my jacket if I didn't do it. And im terrified of my mom. I know you think im strong but when it comes to my mom im not. No telling what she's doing, what she's planning" I see tears forming in her eyes. "Baby don't ruin that perfect makeup of yours. And im gonna beat Jones as-" "No he's right, it wouldn't be fair cause everyone else had to do it" She says smiling. Im about to say something but I hear a honk. "They're here. Good luck baby" She says getting up. "Wait" I grab her arm and kiss her. She wraps her hands around my neck and I stick mine in her back pockets. She pulls back. "I don't know how im gonna deal with not having your tongue in my-" "STOP FUCKING AND COME ON" Betty says banging on the door. "See you in school" She pecks me one more time and leaves out the door with her suitcase. I see Veronica come in the close the door. "Okay, so what's the plan?" She ask. "Well yall just have a good time, and then when everyone is sleep I want you guys to look around the house, tell me if you find anything. And keep Cheryl safe" I say. "Of course but why are you leaving in the first place?" She ask. "Katie is working for the SHRF. She was made by them to find where my dad is. And I think that's why my dad only meets me in my head and not in real life. And before you ask yes he's alive" She nods. "Okay, we'll call you if we find anything. See you in the morning" I nod and she walks out. I hear them cheer and drive away. I sigh and go into my basement. I walk downstairs and go into my closet. I plug the plugs in my arms, legs, and brain. I see the big red button that says CHARGE. "Okay, Toni. You will be charging for 5 hours. It is now 3:58, so once it's 4 I will start it. I calm my breathing and once it hits 4 I press the button.

                                                                          Cheryl's POV

We all walk into the house. "So guys, we have till midnight to do whatever. And I wanna do makeup and play dress-up" Kevin says jumping and clapping his hands. "Why till midnight?" Betty ask. "He has work. He always comes late" He says walking upstairs. We follow after him. "So you guys been here before but there are a few rooms that have been installed. Im never allowed to go in the rooms though. I don't know why" He says. Me and Betty look at each other. I look at my watch and its 4. I wonder what Toni's doing. We walk into his room. "Okay so let me get the popcorn and snacks so you guys can have privacy to change" He says squealing out the room. I sigh. "Welp I guess that's our go-to place first" Veronica says. "Uh no. Have you guys not been in an investigation?" Betty asks like we've been on one unlike her. "Uh no, who do you think we are Nancy Drew 2.0?" I say. "Guys we can't just barge in there" Betty says pulling out a box in her suitcase. "So in this box, I have gloves, glasses, hairpins, and all types of stuff" She says. "Woahhh," I say changing into my red silk pajamas. "Betty should I be concerned on how you got this stuff?" Veronica says. We all sit on the bed waiting for Kevin. "Im a detective, yall really think I go to the blackhood empty-handed" Betty says. But then her face goes into shock. "Shit shit shit I need to call Toni" She says grabbing her phone. "Why?" I ask. She doesn't answer me. "Its...nothing" She says. "Oh fuck" Betty says walking back and forth in front of us. "Voicemail again?" She groans and im starting to get worried. "I'll call her" I say. I call and it also goes to voicemail. "She never rejects my calls" I say starting to get worried. "Guys its nothing. She probably is busy doing.....whatever" Veronica says. I look at her. "Yeah well, I wouldn't know because she never told me" I say rolling my eyes. What is taking Kevin so long? "She never told you?" Veronica ask. I shake my head. And then Kevin comes barging in the room. "Guys, my dad just pulled up. He shouldn't be here" Kevin says scared. "Uhh okay we've seen and spoke to your dad multiple times" Betty says. "No no no he only comes early when something happened to those freaks" Kevin says rolling his eyes. "What?" He sighs. "Those abominations of people are so weird and whenever my dad comes that means he either injured or his light came off" He says. "They're not freaks or abominations, there regular human beans" I say. "Cheryl" Betty says looking at me. We hear the front door slam and we all run downstairs. "I WANT HER KILLED" Mr.Keller screams in his phone. "YOU LISTEN TO ME. I DONT CARE IF KATIE HAS IT COVERED I WANT HER AND HER FATHER DEAD" I look at Veronica and she looks like she's about to faint. I know that name. Wait. Katie has is covered. Toni told me her dad is alive. She said Katie betrayed her. I start panicking. "Hey Girls, and Kevin" He says like nothing just happened. "Hey Mr.Keller" Betty says not knowing who he was talking about. Me and Veronica look at each other. "H-hey," I say. "Well, you guys have fun. I have some business to attend too so ill be out in a minute" He says. We all nod and walk back upstairs. I run into the bathroom and lock the door and cry. There's no other explanation about who he was talking about. I can lose her. I just cant. I shake it off and wipe my eyes and make my self look presentable. I go outside and see them looking at me. "Hey Cher are you okay?" Kevin says running to me. I hug him. "Yeah im good Kev thanks" He nods. "Let's just snuggle up in my rainbow blanket and watch some Disney" He says. We laugh and nod. 

                                                                                   5 hours later

It is now 9 o clock and everyone is sleep. Im wide awake having Toni on my mind. She still hasn't called. I slowly wake up Betty and Veronica on the bed. "Guys" I whisper. "Hmm," They both say. "We need to investigate" I say. Betty face lights up. "Yesss," She says whispering. She quietly gets up and grabs her box. We put on gloves, night glasses and she grabs a knife and some lock picks. "Ready?" Veronica says. We nod and walk to the first door we see. Betty goes in front of us and locks the pick. We walk in and she silently closes it and locks the door. "Okay we can-" Betty stops. Oh my gosh.
