Truth Will Out

VINCENT'S POINT OF VIEW
I opened the door to the condo and was met with the sight of Thalia walking from the bedroom. For a moment, I was confused before I realized that she was obviously here to see Cheyenne.
Maybe she knows what's been making Cheyenne act so differently.
I set my things down and went to take off my jacket when Thalia started walking towards me. She looked behind her before waving me over to her.
With furrowed eyebrows, I obliged. I walked up to her and flashed an expectant look her way.
"I just got through talking with Che," she started to say. I nodded my head at her words. She definitely knows what's wrong. She appeared to choke back tears before she continued to speak. "You two really need to talk." She finished.
Confusion took over me at the sound of her words. What did she mean by that? What did we have to talk about?
I could conclude that it had to be something serious and that it most likely was the reason for Cheyenne's odd behavior lately, but I was still in the dark on a lot.
"Thalia," I started but she cut me off. "I won't tell you anything more. She has to be the one to tell you this. Believe me, it's not my place." She interjected.
I let out a frustrated sigh.
Whatever it was that Cheyenne needed to tell me must've been pretty serious. I just hope she actually tells me instead of dodging the subject like she's been doing.
If she's told Thalia, then maybe she'll tell you too, my mind tried to reassure me.
"Alright, alright," I admitted defeat. Thalia wouldn't budge, so there was no use in trying to get information out of her.
"Good luck," she whispered before grabbing her purse and heading for the front door.
Before she left, she turned on her heel and sighed. "And Vin," she said, capturing my attention. I nodded in acknowledgment. She walked up to hug me, which shocked the hell out of me, to say the least. "I'm sorry." She said softly before pulling away and leaving the condo.
With the sound of the door locking into the doorframe, I found myself staring into oblivion.
Thalia and I never saw eye to eye on things. Our attempt at a friendship had gotten better over the years, but we still had a rocky relationship. In all the time I was with Cheyenne, Thalia had never talked to me the way she just did.
And she sure as hell never hugged me, I thought with confusion dancing around my subconscious.
Whatever I was in for was something drastic. It had to be to make Thalia behave that way towards me.
Now, with a bundle of nerves in my belly, I walked down the hallway to the bedroom. I was even more nervous as I approached the door frame.
I looked over at Cheyenne who was hunched over on her side of the bed with one leg tucked under her and the other hanging off the edge of the bed. Her face was aimed towards her lap before the sound of my knocking made her dart her head up at me.
The first thing I noticed about her was how red and watery her eyes were. She had been crying badly.
Wanting nothing more than to comfort her, I rushed over to where she sat and knelt down beside her.
