Ready or Not

CHEYENNE'S POINT OF VIEW
After kicking off the blanket that provided me with warmth, I stretched out my limbs and yawned.
Soft groans fell out of me as I adjusted to waking up from a good night's sleep.
The sound of a keyboard clicking and muttered words caught my attention and made me curious as to what it was. I followed the sound and found Vincent sitting up in bed with his laptop in his lap as he furiously typed something out on the keyboard.
"No, that won't work," Vincent murmured to himself as he repeatedly hit the backspace key.
He quickly glanced to the side and saw that I was awake.
"Oh, good morning baby," he greeted me before grabbing my hand and pressing a kiss to the back of it. "How's Camilla doing?" He immediately followed up by turning his focus to my belly.
I pressed a palm to my stomach and smiled when I felt her. She wasn't kicking or anything, but I could feel her. It was difficult to explain but it was comforting to feel.
"She's good," I smiled softly.
I stayed laying in bed for a minute before getting up out of bed to get ready for the day.
An hour passed as I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and showered. It took me a while to get dressed. My clothes didn't fit me at all and I should've been inconvenienced by it, but it only reminded me of how real this all was.
Instead of buying new clothes, I had started wearing a lot of Vincent's clothes. I wanted to save as much money as we could for once the baby arrived. She was due in about 2 months and we haven't collected everything we needed yet. I wanted us to be ready when she got here, so if that meant watching every penny then so be it.
Clad in a very oversized shirt that stretched over my swollen belly and rested against my thighs, I walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom.
I don't even think Vincent fits in this shirt, I thought to myself.
I saw Vincent still sitting in bed with his full attention on his laptop.
"What are you working on?" I asked Vincent as I walked over to the dresser for a pair of socks.
"Oh," he sighed out frustratedly, "just some stuff for work. We're trying to get this job put together, but it's just being a pain," he huffed as he ran his hands over his face.
He closed his laptop and set it to the side of him. "I'm not gonna worry about it right now though," he said. "I need to take a break anyway." He added.
I watched him swing his legs over the bed and massage his temples. He was clearly stressed.
Wanting to comfort him, I walked over to him and stroked his hair gently. He almost collapsed against me as he hugged me and my pregnant belly. His head rested against my bump as I ran my fingers through his hair.
"I can't wait for you to be here," he said to the growing baby in my belly. I felt him press his palm to my stomach and massage his thumb against it.
