Author's POV

It's the second day they're there and Beca is getting along more and more closely with them. She sat on Corbyn's bed as they gathered with Elena to look at the season recap of their favorite show. "That was cool", Corbyn said. "I'm gonna go down and get some snack", he added and ran down. "So, I heard we're just 5 years apart", Elena joked. "Kid, don't sweat it", Beca replied. "Do you love my aunt?", Elena asked. "Eh, not really, I'd rather date you tho", Beca joked back and laughed. "I do, I love her. I think she's awesome... the last one to reach downstairs is a butthead!", she said quickly before running down. "You got a head start, it wasn't fair", Elena groaned. "Ow!", Chloe's cry for help echoed from the kitchen and Beca quickly rushed to the scene. "What happened?", she said worriedly. "I cut my finger", Chloe pouted and showed her finger. Beca walked to her and gently wash the blood away before wiping it. "Softly", Chloe told her. "I know what I'm doing, my love", Beca smiled as she wrapped the brown band-aid around her finger. "Go take a break", Beca told her and watched her as she took a seat at the dining table. "You spoil her too much, Beca", Charlie said as she shook her head. "You're just jealous", Chloe stuck her tongue out before her phone rang. "Hello?", she answered her phone. "Hey, what's up? Yeah, she's right here, hold on", Chloe passed the phone to Beca. "Oh, Em, hey", Beca said.

"Stacie's dad messed up again", Emily told her.

"What did he do now?", Beca sighed.

"He met Aubrey", Emily replied.

"Okay, let her stay over at your place and I'll be home tomorrow, I'll talk to him", Beca said. "Okay, how are things going there?", Emily asked. "Great. Tell Stacie to calm down okay? If it's no trouble, ask Aubrey to stay with her too. I can ask my mom to pack you guys some food and maybe she can talk with Mrs. Conrad", Beca told Emily before hanging up. "What's up?", Chloe asked. "Stacie introduced Aubrey to her dad and he didn't take it so well", Beca said. "I'm sorry to hear that", Chloe linked their hands together. "Yeah, it's fine, she's staying over with Emily", Beca replied. "Now, where were we?", Beca smiled. "Still hurts?", she asked. "They're a little better now, I guess", Chloe replied. "Alright you two lovebirds, snap out of it", Waverly walked in the kitchen. "Hey, Waves", Chloe smiled at her. "Who's house is this again?", Beca softly asked her girlfriend, not wanting to offend anyone. "My grandma, when she died, she left this house for us, so we use it for gatherings. My mom actually lives 20 minutes away from my house", Chloe giggled. "That's new information", Beca replied. "Beca Beca!", Corbyn came running into the kitchen and bent over to reach his knees, gasping for air. "What?", Beca asked. "Crossover... Canary... Supergirl... Now", he said breathlessly. "I'll be there in a sec", Beca smiled. "You are getting along with them so well", Chloe's Uncle George said. "Well, I'm kinda up to date unlike this one", Beca looked over to Chloe. "I am SO up to date!!", Chloe said in defense as she pulled her hand away quickly. "I am... what the kid says, hip and lit", she added with confidence. "Aunt Chloe, you are... very hip and lit", Elena giggled when she walked in to grab a soda. "Well, thank you El- wait, why'd you say it like that?", Chloe looked at her confused. "Baby, am I hip and lit?", Chloe pouted and looked at Beca who's just holding back her laugh. "Very, my love", she

laughed as she kissed her on the head and walked to the living room.

"Dinner's ready!", Chloe shouted from the kitchen. Beca and Chris sat right in front of the television, going against each other in MarioKart. "In a bit, baby!", Beca replied. "Go, Beca, go!", Elena hyped her up as she kept her eyes glued on the screen. "Elena, as your uncle, I am very disappointed in you", he said when she rooted for Beca instead of him. "Kids, if you don't come here right now, no desserts and Beca... no French toasts", Chloe said with a sly smirk on her face. Beca's eyes widened as she quickly paused the game and shot up, "Kids, dinner", she said before running to the kitchen. "Hey, you", she let her hands roam around Chloe's back until it found a comfortable place to set on her hips. Chloe slowly leaned in while wrapping her arms around Beca's neck. "Hi", Chloe smiled. "Gosh, get a room, there are kids here", Wynonna said before she separated those two by pulling Chloe away. "Oh, Wyn, leave them alone, they're in love", Waverly smiled at them then looked over to her redhead girlfriend, Nicole Haught. "All of you, enough. It's dinner time", George said as he just chuckled at the girls. "Coffee?", Chloe asked Beca. "I'll just have warm water, I'm not feeling so good", she replied. "Are you okay?", Chloe asked, placing her hand on the back of the brunette's neck and saw her flinched from the cold touch. "Yeah, I'm fine, guess the whole trip wore me out", she smiled. The couple both sat next to each other on a hard wooden chair on the dining table with Chloe's family.

They small talked about Beca and her relationship with Chloe and throughout the whole dinner, Chloe noticed something off with her girlfriend. But she waited until they're in their room for some privacy. "More?", Chloe offered Beca. "No, thank you, I'm full. It was an amazing dinner, Cindy and Charlie. Thank you", Beca smiled at them. "Hey, I helped too!", Chloe shoved Beca in her shoulder. "Yes, it was very good, baby, thank you", Beca rolled her eyes and placed a soft kiss on the redhead's cheek. "What time will you guys be leaving tomorrow?", Cindy asked as she sipped her wine. "Our flight is at 1 so probably 12?", Chloe looked over at Beca who zoned out and unaware of what they're talking about. "Becs?", Chloe lowered her head to meet the brunette's brown eyes. "Uhm- y- yeah, 12's good", she stammered before chuckling nervously. Chloe then was sure that something was bothering her, to make her feel safe, she linked her hands with Beca's only to find it clammy and sweaty. Beca shot up and grabbed her phone, "Excuse me, I have to use the bathroom", she said before walking to the toilet.

"Beca?", Chloe called out when she knocked on the bathroom door. "You okay, baby?", she asked again when there was no response. "Yeah, I'm fine, I'll be out in a sec", Beca said and Chloe just earned her back on the wall with her arms crossed on her chest. "Hey", Because said when she came out. "Hey, ba- Beca, you're pale. What's wrong? What are you not telling me?", Chloe asked, worried as she cupped the brunette's face in her hands. "Nothing, I think I just need a run. I haven't worked out in weeks", Beca said. "Well, maybe you don't need a run to work out?", Chloe smirked before attacking the open spot on her neck. "Mm, no. Your family's downstairs. I'm gonna go change", she kissed her on the cheek and went to their room. Chloe just shrugged it off and went down to the kitchen.

"Hey, where are you going?", Wynonna asked when she saw Beca in her black Nike sports bra and black pants. "I need to go for a run", she bent down to tie her shoes, only to find herself breathing heavily as she failed over and over again. "Is she okay?", Elena asked softly. "Chloe, your girl can't tie shoelaces", Chris whispered to Chloe who's doing the dishes. She set the plates down and walked over to see Beca stressing out over her shoe. She knelt in front of her girlfriend and saw her sweating, even though she hasn't started running yet. "Hey, hey, let me do it", Chloe said calmly as she placed her hand on top of Beca's. "I can do it myself", Beca said as she tried again with her shaky hands and failed miserably. "Hey, hey, I got this", Chloe gently pushed her hand away and tie her shoelaces. "You okay?", Chloe looked up to her and she just nodded and stood up. "Don't wait up for me", Beca said before pulling the redhead into a short passionate kiss. "Take care", Chloe said and watched as her girlfriend walked out. "What was that about?", Wynonna asked. Chloe sat down and stared into the blank as she thought of an answer, "I don't know", she said and called Emily.

"Hey, uhh, has Beca ever, stress out over small things?", Chloe asked, unsure of what to expect.

"What do you mean?", Emily chuckled.

"Like, say, she wasn't able to tie her shoelaces? Sweaty palms?", Chloe told her.

"Did she eat?", Emily replied.

"Yeah, a little, she just went for a run", Chloe asked.

"I might know what's up but it's not my place or my story to tell, so I'll leave it to Becs, but, just be with her, she might need you more than you think, gotta go, byeeee", Emily blurted out before hanging up, leaving Chloe, clueless.
