Jason and I, were only a few houses down from our house...... the walk back from town was filled with awkward silence.
......
"You missed it..." Jason says, breaking said silence....
"What..?"
"Eli kicked my ass....." he chuckled. "And I cried...."
I chuckled...
It was weird.... I just ran away crying, and he found me almost about to get killed by a fake ass witch... and a werewolf..
And I try to act like none of it happened...
"Why would you be crying...?" I say as I made my way to the house...
"Because I messed up things between us....." he says....
....and the awkwardness makes a return... but ten times harder... love that! 😃
I just stared for a while.... trying to see where the joke was.... or even the slightest bit of a sign that he was just playing with me...
He was definitely playing with me... right.
I couldn't say anything..... I just walked away.
I was about to walk into the house, when I felt his large hands pull me back.....
"Wait......" Jason says.. "Before we go in-"
"Jason...... don't do it... don't you think you've apologized enough....... you don't have to keep being sorry for me." I say. "I don't need your pity..."
"I know, I'm just-"
"No.... I don't want to hear it.. stop. It doesn't matter I don't care..." I interrupted and decided to go inside... but he stopped me again.
"I really am sorry.. I just didn't understand.... I should've let you explain yourself..." he said... "I just... I let my feeling for you, get the best of me..."
"It's just that- it's just that the truth is...." he started.. "... that... Maybe I was a little jealous...."
"Why...?"
He didn't say anything.... he just looked away....
I shook my head...... "Why?"
".......You know why..." he says. "I'm just a bit confused, about everything I was trying to do....."
"You literally did it to yourself....." I say.. "I wanted you..."
"I still want you." He looked at me with those cool grey eyes...
".....But you left me..." I say.
"It was a mistake......" he says.
"Damn right it was.." my eyes widened at what I said... Damn Eli rubbing off on me.
He stepped closer to me.... slowly closing off the space between us.... as I stared into his grey eyes... I saw them flicker somewhere down my face... then back to my eyes...
"Everything I've done to stay away from you is biting me in the ass..." he says. "It's only making me fall deeper in love with you."
This can't be happening...
"I get jealous everytime I see you with Darius.... it hurts to see you with someone else like that..."
"Like what..." I start. "Like someone that actually cares about me."
