Prologue
I felt like a gypsy. Wandering, stirring, relocating each time he found me. Wandering, moving, hiding from him against my will. My own personal hell, one in which I could not fix; one in which followed me through each passing day. Memories which should have been filled with bliss and contentment turned into memories of muddle and trite questions. Why was I to be where he was not? Why was I the one being sought after? Me, a simple girl-16, merely a child, as my mother often told me. And yet, this state of fear and suffering led me here, to the Opera Populaire-my final destination. No more longing, he would find me, and all I could do was wait.
