Phoenix POV:
I heard their screams of fear before I felt it. The impact of the blade going through my skin and coming right back out leaving another whole into my body and allowing my blood to seep out. Everything felt like it had slowed down and decided to revolve around me until it all came crashing down.
I had expected to feel the cold and wet floor but instead was met with a warm embrace by one of a familiar friend and when I looked it was Theresa. Just looking at her I knew she had made a huge impact in my life. The good and the bad was all jumbled together and made a harmonious combination to who she was.
The tears in her eyes only furthered the love I held for her. I lifted my lips in a lazy smile to show my appreciation before I dragged my heavy eyes towards my husband fighting for me, for us. The anger was radiating off of him in thick suffocating waves and that terrified Adonis to the core as he was cowering back now that he had seen what he caused.
As he was distracted Chase tore Victoria from his grasp and knocked him to his knees. Cyrus rose into the air with such speed, turning the sky a pitch black like his eyes and a chill of death in the air. I knew what he was doing, he was turning into his demon. See the thing is when we are born we get another half of us that only gets activated when necessary or in a dire situation and to Cyrus me getting hurt is that situation.
Just then there was a tingling feeling running through my body, as if someone was calling out to me. Well not me but my other half, my demon. I was suddenly thrusted into the sky alongside Cyrus with the same chill of death.
“We are the last divines on this planet yet you dare harm our realm in hope of your reign?”
“Now for your crimes you will be sentenced to death by our hellfire combined,” Cyrus added.
I then went down to Adonis and grabbed him to shoot higher into the sky
"Mom no!" Victoria yelled out, but I was no longer me, I was the demon queen.
Cyrus appeared at my side and held onto Adonis with so much force he could no longer struggle to be set free.
"You have roamed this earth for too long and now must be taken out of it," I said.
With that me and Cyrus let all our energy seep out into Adonis so that it flows through his veins and burns him from the inside out. The only thing that could be heard was his deathing screams. As soon as we knew that it was close to our time me and Cyrus glanced back at our loved ones fighting for us and the kingdom.
