Chapter 3 ~ The Force Awakens Part 2

'general' millie said, meeting him outside his office door. He nods his head.

'we are docking onto starkiller base very soon Jales. I will need you to make sure that everything is ready, there is a map of the base also on your data pad. You will need to go to check with the squad leaders if they are preparing, they will be in sector 2b and on the main landing ground. You will need to see the head beam engineer in sector 5b that it is stable  and also check on Captain Leaf, he will be on the main control deck, ask him if the weapon is primed to fire.' Hux Finnished.

Millie had wrote them down on her data pad and nodded.

'good Lieutenant.' Hux said.

'oh General, I brought you a muffin' Millie holds up a fluffy breakfast muffin.

Hux was taken aback, not sure what to say or do.

'uh, I don't take food from those with lesser rank but... ' he quickly grabs it out of Millie's hand. He felt his hand brush against her soft skin. He was confused, why would someone bring him food? And why did he feel this warmth in his stomach that he had never felt before.

There was a jolt as the ship landed on starkiller base.

'Erm, thank you Lieutenant' he finnaly said but she was gone.

Millie worked through all the tasks set and walked to the deck which viewed the landing round. There Hux stood, talking to some higher ups.

'ah this is my new assistant Lieutenant Jales' Hux said pushing her forward to meet a tall grey haired man, they shook hands.

'good to meet you admiral' Millie said respectfully.

The man nodded 'did you know what happend to Hux' s last assistant?' he inquired nonchalantly.

'no admiral' Millie replied not really wanting to hear the answer.

'he got on the wrong side of Ren and was chocked to death' the admiral laughed, finding Millie's turning white face very amusing.

'that's enough Admiral Holmes' the general spat and he guided Millie away from the still laughing Admiral.

'Ignore him Millie' Hux whispers in you ear. 'he relishes in the pain he causes others, much more than Ren does.'

Millie nods, noting down Hux's warning in her mind but was shocked that he used her first name instead of Lieutenant.

'when I do my speech you will stand here' he points at a red painted marker. 'you will be standing next to Captin Phasma and unfortunately Admiral Holmes. If he causes you any bother again, let me know.'

Millie nods. 'thank you General'.

'why are you thanking me? I'm protecting you as a valuable asset to me, you have shown your competency and I am prepared to shield you from men like admiral Holmes and Ren'

Millie smiled at Hux, she felt safe, near him. Hux felt the warmth inside of him grow, the same question played on his mind as before.

'everyone is ready and primed sir' Millie said, being him back to the reality.

'good work' he said half smiling at Millie. She could tell he was slowly opening up to her, but he was very guarded.

Millie and the General kept talking until Phasma walked up to Hux.

'the troops are ready to line up' Phasma stated.

Hux nodded 'Lieutenant please ask everyone to stand in their positions'

Millie nodded and walked up to the a group of six Colonels, and another group, finnaly walking up to Admiral Holmes.

'admiral could you please get in position' Millie asked.
