Chapter 5 ~ What Is This Feeling?

A knock on the door woke Hux and Millie up, Hux immediately let's Millie go and sits up.

'sir' a stormtrooper said 'we have almost arrived at the Supremacy'.

Hux nodded and got up, leaving Millie yawning.

'come Lieutenant' Hux said leaving the room.

Millie nodded, standing and leaving the room. Ren stood, his mask off showing his handsome face with a gash right through it.

'are we the only ones who survived?' Ren asked slowly feeling his deep Cut.

'No, sir. Reports show Captain Phasma escaped in tie fighter and some other pilots have escaped and are travelling to the supremacy.' a storm trooper said, looking down at a data pad.

Ren nodded.

'Kylo, the supreme leader wanted to see you' Hux said, his hands behind his back.

Ren nodded, the ship jolted, landing in the ship bay.

Ren immediately walks out followed by the troopers.

'Lieutenant' Hux mummers now the two where alone. 'what happened in that room can never happen again'

Millie nods feeling alittle sad but accepted his order.

'Have a break Jales' Hux mummers. He left the ship leaving Millie.

Slowly millie walks out the ship, going to the cafeteria. Matt she suddenly thought, silent tears fell down her face, whipping them away. He had been her friend for so long, ever since she had came to the academy. She sucked it up  and  grabbed some food,  sitting alone on a table.

'Hey, can I sit here?' a storm trooper asks

'yeh' Millie answers, nodding her head into the noodles she had.

'I thought you would be in here Lieutenant' a voice said behind Millie.

She turned to see Hux behind her. The storm trooper immediately saluted. Millie smiled sadly.

'come we have work to do' Hux said.

Millie nodded, dropping the empty noodle pack into the bin.

'General, I don't want to be impetuous but don't you need some food?' Millie asks.

'I'm too busy to eat' he stated walking into a office. The office had the same layout as the one on the finalizer, being plain and boring.

'I want you to look over the list of those survived and escaped the star destroyer.' Hux said.

'Yes General' Millie said, looking at the  list. It was small, only around 200 names.

Millie stifled a sob not finding Matt's name at all in the list.

'What is wrong Lieutenant?' Hux asked, a slight tint of worry in his voice.

'nothing sir' Millie said, a tear falling down her cheek. 'it's just Mat- I mean MA-629, he isn't on the list'

'so?' Hux asked.

'He was one of my close friends from the academy' Millie explained.

She broke down on the floor, wracked with sobs. Hux was confused at this crying person infront him. He stood and fervently hugged Millie.

'I'm sorry for your loss' Hux finnaly said. He didn't understand, MA-629 was just a lowly stormtrooper, who was easily replaced. He had never had a friend before, not even Phasma was that close to him, yet he felt his heart break at the crying woman infront of him.

Millie held on for dear life to his shoulders. She slowly stopped crying. Hux let go of her, bring his arm up to wipe her tears from her face.

'I'm sorry sir, I shouldn't of shown weakness' Millie stutters.

'Don't say that Millie, it's okay, I'm here for you' Hux whispered, not understanding properly what he was saying.

The two leaned towards each other, their lips met and Hux pulled Millie closer so that she fell onto his lap.

Soon the kisses became deeper, Hux's hands moved from her chest to her waist, holding her close. Millie's hands held onto his neck.

'what are we doing?' Hux asked letting go of Millie and standing up. 'I don't understand'

Millie stood up too, and looked in Hux's cool eyes 'you where showing compassion' she said.

'I shouldn't, I was trained not to by my father, he hit me for talking to a girl too long even if it was for work' Hux stuttered, looking down at the floor.

'I'm sorry' Millie said 'I'm sorry for what your father did to you, but what you showed me was real General, real compassion'

Hux smiled feebly. 'please call me Armatage when we are alone'

'if you call me Millie'

Hux chuckled slightly 'then yes Millie'
