The knife was approaching your face and your jaw and when it contacted your skin, you shuddered as the cold metal connected with your skin.

You were whimpering while staring into the mayor's eyes, pleading for mercy while he just smiled at you wickedly.

You shut you eyes tight when he started putting pressure on the knife and you felt the searing pain slice through your skin and a liquid dripping down.

You thought that this was it and this is the end when suddenly, the door banged open and the pain stopped before you opened your eyes to stare at the mayor who stood rigid, staring at the opened door.

You blinked before looking at the door to see a woman who must be in her late thirties, staring wide eyed at the scene.

You stared at her with your eyes helplessly before yelling into the tape, hoping that she would help you.

The woman was in shock staring at the mayor before she stared at you and let out a gasp.

"Jinhyuk, what are you doing?" She exclaimed before running forward and holding your head before slowly tearing the tape from your mouth while you winced at the pain.

When it was finally off, you spoke to her shakily.

"P-please help me. He's trying to kill me." You stuttered out, still not over the initial shock from the knife and she looked at you worriedly, before staring up at the mayor who looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"Jinhyuk, what is the meaning of this! Why are you doing this to this poor girl?" She exclaimed out in disbelief then ordered the men behind you, to untie you, which they did.

"Soohyun-ah, I-I can explain...." He stuttered before suddenly, more footsteps were heard and soon, men in uniforms entered with their guns pointed out.

You stood frozen, staring at them while the woman named Soohyun was holding you in her embrace.

"Freeze! Jo Jinhyuk, you are under arrest for kidnapping and the attempt of murder, drop the knife." The man who looked like the sheriff of the town spoke, pointing the gun at the mayor.

The mayor was more shocked as the men walked in further and circled the men behind you and pointed their guys at them.

The mayor looked defeated before he turned to stare at the woman embracing me.

"You called the police on me?" He whispered while you stared at the woman who shook her head and stared at him with tears in her eyes.

"Yuri did." She replied and that made him freeze completely and soon, he dropped the knife he was holding and the sheriff came forward and handcuffed him.

He didn't put up a fight as he looked as if his eyes were empty as he was dragged out of the doors, but pause when someone was also standing outside the door.

You saw him looked ashamed and regretful before being dragged out, the men behind you following tow, with handcuffs on.

Then when they were all out, you saw Yuri standing at the doorway, staring at you with a sad frown before staring at the woman with tears in her eyes.

Then someone else came beside her and your eyes widened when you saw who it was and the person looked relieved before walking towards you and embracing you in a hug.

You took in the scent before also returning the embrace and crying out in relief.

Jungkook (The night before the incident)

"I love you so much Haneul, more than you know. Just please, remember that. Only that." You spoke out softly before ending the call and shutting your eyes.

You put your face into your palms while massaging your forehead as you felt a gnarling headache.

"Jungkook?" You looked up at your door and saw Yuri standing there looking at you worried.

"Oh Yuri. When did you arrive?" You shook your head before smiling at her, like you always do.

But you knew the true emotions you were supposed to convey will never appear, unless its for Haneul.

Yuri smiled softly before dragging a chair and sitting on it in front you.

You scrunched your eyebrows at why she wasn't sitting beside you and linking her arms with yours like she usually does.

"I know you love Haneul, Jungkook." She spoke out suddenly while you just gaped at her, ready to protest but she continued.

"I am fine with it. I knew it ever since she arrived to the university. It was very obvious." She stated which had you keeping quiet.

"And I also know, that the reason you're dating me is to spy on my father." That made you widened your eyes before staring at her in shock.

"Yuri, I—"

"Please its okay. I know he's a bad man. He thinks I don't know but I do. I have people I asked to spy on him as well and I learned about the sabotaging of Haneul's father's business 3 months ago." You were surprised at her calmly telling you this.

"He would have succeeded, if it weren't for your father's help and me sabotaging his plan." She explained which had you taken aback.

She smiled to herself.

"I told you, I have people who can help me on the inside of my father's plots. But of course my father doesn't know." She continued and a tear suddenly dropped from her eyes which had you frowning before wiping it away.

She smiled at you before taking your hand and holding it with both of hers.

"You need to tell Haneul the truth Jungkook. I cannot bear seeing the both of you going through this pain, due to my father's doing. We can figure out a way to stop him together, but not like this." She pleaded with a soft smile.

You stared at her shocked for a moment before breaking into a smile and embracing her in a hug.

"Thank you so much Yuri." You whispered as you suddenly took a small bag and started packing, then taking out your passport from your drawers.

Meanwhile, Yuri sat there confused before she asked.

"Wait why are you packing? Where are you going?" She asked as you zipped up your bag.

You stared at her and showed her your passport before saying, "Busan! Haneul is now in Busan."

That made her widened her eyes, "WHAT? No, she shouldn't be!" She exclaimed which had you furrowing your eyebrows at her.

"Why would she go back? It makes it easy for my father to...." She widened her eyes as if realizing something then she stared at you.

"We're leaving for Busan. NOW!" She said before leaving your room and you following behind her as she frantically walked out of your house with you in tow.

"Yes, two tickets for a flight to Busan, as soon as possible." She dialed someone before speaking to her phone which made you stare at her confused.

Next she ended the call and booked for a kakaotaxi.

"Yuri, what's wrong? Why shouldn't Hanuel be in Busan?" You asked worriedly, as she bit her lips and stared at you anxiously.

"Because she is in danger."
