How is it humanely possible to carry love bigger than a vessel,
for God burdens no soul beyond what it can bear,
& I often wonder, if my love for you
is even human,I stand at the end of every bridge you burn
of every love song you refuse to dance to
I carve every letter I wrote but never sent
In the parts of my body you cherish most
maybe you'll see me thenMaybe my veins will not collapse
only to feel your warmth against my skin
againI am yours, at the snap of your fingers,
at the wrinkle of your eyes when you smile
at the depth of your dimples when you talk
i am yours at your clenched jaw when you're angry
that I am still there despite youI hold my dignity in one hand,
and your love in the other,
and waiver every right I have of calling you mine
and promise
to forever cherish & hold
love and support
youand no other man
but you.
