there is something about the sanctity of the sea
that reminds me of my worst deeds
and the nightmares I try to make look like dreams
like you and your perfect lips,
like your lips on mine
like the thought of you and me being real
like you are next to me and I cannot believe it,
no matter how many times I hold your hands to make sure
you won't fade when I close my eyes
there is something about the sea that I associate with the word clean,
maybe it's the Taylor-Swift-song,
maybe, it's my four years long without my skin kissing a blade,
maybe, it's the way I have loved you for so long
or maybe,
possibly,
definitely,
it's how my love for you, is the only clean thing about me.
