I want to tell everybody I know
who question my sanity still, that
the voices have always been loud
that I have never managed to shut them down or out
I wish I could let them know that I still hold on–
to every poem I wrote about you
because I have only ever felt love
when you held me every time I felt blue
and how I made you my muse the day I met you
that my demons only cooperate
when I remember how beautiful it felt
to love you.
