"Your job is pretty easy, first you greet them, then you lead them to their table." Adelaide handed me my waitress outfit and I gave her a soft smile.

"Thanks Adelaide, if it wasn't for you, I would be still looking for a job. Thank you for being so nice to me." Adelaide admired my appreciation.

I've gotten used to Adelaide and she's been a good friend since I've moved here. Even though she is a vampire, I don't mind her being one. She knows how I'm getting comfortable around her. She smiles back and gives me a sudden hug.

"I'm happy you are opening yourself up. I'm glad you aren't those people who judge a book by its cover. You are absolutely different, just like auntie." I hugged her back being thankful. But she had to pull away to open up the shop. I checked the clock on the wall, 10:29.

Once she flipped the sign to 'open', we both set up each table until someone walked in.

I looked at the clock again, 7 pm. I thought people would be clearing up, but the restaurant got even busier and busier til the point where we were packed.

I grabbed a couple menus and walked towards Adelaide, "Is it always this busy during this hour?" She simply nodded.

"This is the time where werewolves and vampires are coming in and the humans are heading home." She said, but I became frozen. What did she just say?

"Th-they come at this time?" Stuttering over my words.

She nodded again, "This time is basically the dawn for werewolves and vampires, they always come at this time everyday." I nervously gulped, I looked around . Why haven't I noticed before? They're full of monsters. I begin to shake, do they know I'm human?

Adelaide's smile disappeared seeing my pathetic state and basically read my thoughts, she held the sides of my arms to make me look at her.

"You're going to be fine, if you feel uncomfortable, signal me a message through your thoughts and I'll read them. Don't worry okay?" I felt reassured, but still worried for my life. I wish all werewolves and vampires are like Adelaide. I nodded and her smile reappeared on her lips again. "Okay good, now go back to work sis!" She lightly pushed me to the lobby while I still clutched onto the menus. I slowly made my way to a big group of young men who were waiting.

I took a deep breathe before speaking, "How many people are in your party?" I kindly asked not being obvious that I was scared as hell. The men looked up and down before one of them came up to me. I analyzed each person, they aren't hairy like what Mrs. Carole said, so I'm guessing they're vampires?

However the man in front of me came really close, he had a smug smirk on his lips, "Hmm, never seen your face before in this town and not even in this restaurant. Adelaide must've recently hired you. You must be a newbie." He lowered his face down to your level, you can feel a slight pink tint show on your cheeks, he is way too close, and too attractive well even his friends were very handsome, but y/n endure it... endure it. Be careful.

You straightened up and asked, "I'm sorry to ask again, but how many people are in your party?" smiling innocently making the guy chuckle.

"I like you kitten...

we have 7 members here." The guy showed his smile as he brushed his hair back, you noticed that one tooth was chipped which you found extremely attractive. You cleared your throat asking the men to follow you.

You led them to the biggest table since they were a big group, however the table was hidden in the vip room which was the only one available. You turned back around to see 7 vampires staring at you. You took a deep breath

"Um, this is the only room that'll fit you guys if you don't mind. You guys will just have more privacy." You slightly chuckled. You were very intimidated tho. But they just nodded their heads giving you the OK to place them there.

Looking back at the clock for the third time, 10:30. You were absolutely exhausted. The restaurant was empty and it was just you and Adelaide cleaning the tables. You sat down on one of the chairs and took a breather. Wiping your sweaty forehead with your sleeve.

"How was your first day so far?" I heard Adelaide speak.

"I didn't know you had to work this hard everyday. But overall, I'm starting to like it here." Your heavy breaths slowly became stable and continued wiping the tables.

Suddenly, you and Adelaide heard laughing noises coming from the VIP room. Oh shit! They're still here?

"Who's still here?" Adelaide said.

"Just a group of boys who came earlier. I thought they left." You responded back. Adelaide groaned as she made her way to the room. Once she opened the doors, she wasn't very surprised, like she was familiar with their presence.

"Jimin, can you take you and your boys drunk asses out of here? Me and Y/n need to close up!" She lectured them. They looked really dozed off though. I covered my mouth from laughing because if I didn't, I would be screwed.

Suddenly she gasped at her sight, "Jungkook! Are you drunk?!" Adelaide grabbed him by the collar in lightning speed. Damn she is really strong. That jungkook guy was sound asleep and passed out from the alcohol. But Adelaide seemed pissed. "Take him home now!" Her eyes began to glow red, all the boys started to get scared. Without saying a word, they soon put him over their shoulders and ran out the restaurant.

Adelaide sighed loudly, dusting her hands together before looking back at me.

"I'm sorry about what you saw, they are just being annoying as always." You just nodded not used to seeing her so angry.

"Who are they?"

"They're my brother's friends. I swear they seem intimidating, but they are like ticks you can't shoo away." Rolling her eyes before wiping the tables again.

"I should introduce you to them again, they come here everyday being annoying and playing games. And besides, I can't be your only vampire friend here in Ephis."

"Your brother?" You got curious. She didn't mention having any siblings.

"The one who passed out earlier, Jungkook." She smiled.

yay I'm trying to update everyday, two chapters a day. Let's see how much my motivation goes on this summer.
