"Hi, Pete." I greeted the feminine male as i entered the common room, noticing him slouching on the couch.

"Oh, hey." He waved his arm weakly, not bothering to look me in the eye.

"What are you doing?" I sat down next to him, leaning my back against the cushion.

"Thinking."

"Oh, about what?"

"Hey, guys." Jimmy was the next person to make an appearance, causing me to spin around in order to face him. "Where's everyone else? The school is empty."

"Oh, Jimmy." Pete sighed, confusing me with his behaviour. "It's you."

"Yeah, it's me."

"I guess you wanna kill Gary now that he's turned most of the school against you, and got those rich kids to throw eggs at you."

"Actually, that last part was pretty funny." I giggled like a school girl, earning a look of annoyance from the ginger. "I was there."

"Who's side are you on, Amy?" Jimmy retaliated, then rolled his eyes back. "Whatever, Gary will get what's coming to him. But now, i wanna know what's wrong with pouty-boy, over here."

"Nothing." Pete simply replied, lying through his teeth.

"Come on, Pete. What's going on?" I placed my hand over his shoulder, giving it a squeeze.

"It's definitely not nothing. You're sitting alone in the break room, all by yourself like a loser. Did someone crap in your bed?" Jimmy chose a different approach, angering the shorty.

"Well, for one moment i had friends." Pete began, jumping off of the sofa and letting my hand fall off of him. "The two of you, and Gary. Yeah, Gary's a snake and you guys are weirdly mysterious and always end up ditching me, along with the fact that you all bullied me mercilessly, but at least i had friends! Now, i'm back on my own and i'm too cool to be a dork, and too dorky to be anything else."

"We're all better off without Gary, and the three of us are still going strong, right?" I brought up a point, attempting to calm him down.

"Yeah, you're not on your own." Jimmy agreed, then changed the subject. "So, where is everybody?"

"At the bike race in Old Bullworth Vale, by the beach." Pete described, practically making Jimmy's eyes pop out of their sockets.

"Why didn't you say so? Come on, let's go!" Jimmy instantly booked it out of the room, but Pete and i remained still and didn't follow his demands.

"Bike race? That rules me out." I sunk myself further into the chesterfield, shutting my eyes for a few seconds.

"You're not interested?" Pete speculated, sitting down onto the furniture once again.

"Should i be?"

"I don't know."

"So, do bike races happen around here often?"

"Well, mainly when the cliques feel threatened by something and need to prove their worth."

"Or, someone." An evil grin slowly formed onto my face, concerning Pete. "Looks like Jimmy's really getting under their skin, hey?"

"Yeah, i guess so."

"So, Petey." I switched my position, crossing my legs as they started to feel numb. "Anything else going on?"
