Blind love

Chapter 5

A/N: Hey guy I know it been awhile but I was really stuck on this chapter and as I was thinking what to write on this chapter I began to feel like I rushed the book. But now I have  more ideas hopefully since I am done with this chapter I will write more.

 1 Day Later:

Buck's Pov:

 I woke up feeling pain in my chest and I could barely open my eyes. It took me a moment to figure out where I was as I began to look around I realised I was in the hospital. That's when the memories of getting shot flooded back into my mind. I was to busy being in my own mind I didn't even know someone walked in the room. "Hey, look who is finally awake how are you feeling does anything hurt" said the women who I assumed was a nurse considering she was checking up on me and was in scrubs. "Hi " I croaked only then did I just realise how dry my mouth was. Just as I was going to ask for water she handed me a cup. I drank the water from the straw that was in the cup then answered her question from before. " Thank you and I feel a little pain in my chest".  

 The nurse that I found is named Cathy gave me some pain meds so that I don't have as much pain in my chest. Once she put the medicine in my IV the doctor Michael according to his name tag came in saying, "I just informed your family that you are awake do you want to wait to discuss the treatment we gave you". In that moment I realised I completely forgot about the team. I replied by saying, "Let's wait to discuss the treatment when they get here." Knowing that Maddie will want to know everything. The nurse and the doctor left as I waited for Maddie to get here but for some reason all I could think about was Eddie because the last thing I remember is hearing Eddie's voice before I blacked out. 

  After about 10 minutes of waiting Maddie finally arrived she came running over to me and pulled me in a hug causing me to groan considering I just got shot in the chest. She then said " I am so sorry Buck I was so worried when I found out and then you had to get a surgery and Chim kept reassuring me but I didn't really believe him until they told me an--"

"Maddie you're rambling I'm fine ok," I said while interrupting Maddie. "You are not fine Buck you just got shot and just so you know the team will be here in a little bit ok" said Maddie. Just as I was about to answer Doctor Michael came in. "Mr. Buckley, How are you doing? I see your sister made it, are you ready to discuss the treatment we gave you."

 I nodded my head. He told me that I had to have surgery in order to remove the bullet and that they sedated me so that I can regain some strength. As he kept talking about what happened and the reality that I actually got shot seem to really settle in my mind.

 Doctor Michael then asked " Do you have any questions"? I began to ask him " Umm yes how soon can I get back to work". 

 Just as I said that the crew walked and Eddie said " Never. How about that you are never going back to work." I look at Eddie and notice how tired he looks, his eyes have bags under them and he looks scruffier. " Come on Eddie it is not that bad" I said.

Eddie gives me a look of disbelief, " Not that bad, NOT THAT BAD. Buck you just got shot, and it didn't just skin you, you took a direct hit, so don't say 'it's not that bad.' You could've gotten hurt worse." 

Bobby interrupts right when Buck was opening his mouth and says "Lets not worry about that lets just focus on your recovery." Bobby looks at the doctor, "How long should Buck be off work?"

2 Hours Later:

Eddie's Pov: 

I grabbed my jacket as I was getting ready to leave the hospital. I look back at Buck as he watches me leave, since I'm the last one in the room, besides him. 

I sigh, "You know you really are an idiot." I look to see him smiling. 

"Oh come on, it's really not that bad."

"We are not talking about this again," man he gets on my nerves sometimes, "Ok I gotta go I'll see you tomorrow." 

"Ok, bye Eddie." I lean down to give Buck a hug, and I hold on a little tighter than usual. " Ok Eddie, you're hurting me." I let go.

"Sorry, Bye." 

"Bye." I walk down the hall to the elevators. As I exit the elevator and walk to my car, I start to remember yesterday night. I get in my car and start to drive home.

Flashback:

With this guy holding a gun at us I decided to send a message to cap, "Cap we are just checking the vents in the second floor you know like we always do. " Hopefully he gets it.

We wait a minute for reasons I don't know, then we hear footsteps on the stairs. He got my message, but sadly the shooter got it too.

" You sent them a message didn't you!" Then he pointed the gun at Buck, and in that second I became terrified. "You want him to die tell them your ok and are on your way now!"

I knew I wouldn't be able to stop them in time,but I am going to have to try anyway. Then he started shooting. Athena finally made it up the stairs and shot the guy in the leg and when she asked if anyone was okay I saw that Buck dropped to his knees. I ran to him to make sure he is ok. Then I notice that he was shot.

I put pressure on his wound and scream for help. I look at Buck, "Keep your eyes open for me, Buck, keep them open." He closes his eyes.

The EMT's push me aside and start to work on Buck. I'm next to him the whole time. Once they stabilize him they rush him to the ambulance, and I'm right there beside him. 

I'm with him when they drive to the hospital and keep him stabilized, I hold his hand to make sure he knows I'm there. Though I know there is a greater chance that he'll be ok; I'm scared; I'm scared that I'll lose him and I don't want to lose him.

We get to the hospital and they rush him to surgery. I'm left on the other side of the door. The team shows up a minute later.

End  Flashback

I made the final turn into my driveway and then turn my car off. I head inside to relieve Carla from babysitting duty. Once I open the door Carla starts asking me questions.

"How is he," she gives me a hug.

"He's fine, but the idiot wants to go back to work already."

"Of course he does, well I'll talk him out of it tomorrow," she grabs her things, "Bye Christopher," she gives him a hug. "bye Eddie."

"Bye."

Once Carla left I walked up to Christopher and held him so tight in a hug I don't know what I would do if I lost him or Buck.
