The next few days that followed were absolutely amazing for Chelsea. Little by little, she became a little more known in Olivia's group of friends- sharing more 'hellos' with them in the hallway, and enjoying their company a little more.
She'd never had more fun going to school before.
Before, her days would be just silently watching people from afar and then watching Olivia practice, but now, she was talking more with people, sharing laughs with people, in ways that she never thought possible.
She never would have met them if it wasn't for Olivia.
The outgoing girl had asked her many times to stop thanking her over and over again through text, for 'adopting her' as Ashley dubbed it.One day, however, things changed quite a bit from the usual splendor of conversation.
"I wanna start a club!" Olivia shouted at the top of her lungs, slamming her hand against the cafeteria table with enough force to almost shake it.
"Whuddya mean?" One friend asked.
"Club?" Another asked.
"Dude, dude, dude, dude, listen," Olivia said, beaming as she spoke. "What if... right? And listen to me when I say this: What if we made a club an-"
"No," Ashley said.
"Wh- I didn't even finish talking and you're already against it!? So mean!" Olivia said.
"Because you're going to suggest something that either already exists- or is really stupid."
"Whaaaaat? You don't know that." Olivia said.
"Let the girl speak, Ashley!" One friend remarked.
"Yeah, Jeez, such a pessimist!" Someone else shouted.
Chelsea giggled at the remarks being tossed around like wildfire. Usually, she'd be a little bit peeved that someone would say something mean like that to Olivia- but she knew that Ashley was joking around, and it was all in good fun. After a bit of verbal horseplay, Ashley gave in.
"All right all right-" Ashley finally said. "Hit us with it."
"What if we just like, y'know, made a group that specialized in going out to do something every night?" Olivia suggested. "Like- by a car or something. OH!"
Ashley facepalmed. "Olivia."
"Dude, dude, We can get a bus from people, the teachers right?"
"Olivia."
"And then we can just go somewhere, anywhere, and- OH! We can just not tell them until we get there so they're just like 'where are we gonna g-'"
"OLIVIA!"
"Yeah?" Olivia asked.
"That already exists. The Mystery bus. You're literally describing the same thing, word for word. Remember?"
Olivia's face glowed bright red."...Oh, yeah," She said.
Ashley pinched the bridge of her nose. "...Oh my god..." She said under the breath of her deep sighing. Chelsea snarked loudly and then started laughing hysterically. She saw the group of friends look at her as though they were watching an alien speaking another language to them.
"Oh god, I can't breathe..." Chelsea said. "Oh god...!"
"Well, you did it," Ashley said.. "You killed Chelsea. Good job."
"Dude," One of Olivia's friends said,
"Hey-" She heard Olivia speak as Chelsea buried her face onto the table, her giggling constantly having her head bob up. "Least I made her laugh like that. Haven't seen any of you guys do that, huh? Score one for me, get wrecked, all of you."
