CHAPTER 11: THANKS FOR THE BEST FRIENDSHIP

THE NEXT DAY

Aashna's POV:

We sat in our seats waiting for James to come and finally I made a friend from my own department, her name is Kavya!

Sanket sat next to me, we weren't friends but we weren't rivals as well, we were kind off hanging in between, he looked at me and smiled and I liked his genuine smile, I obviously smiled back

Everyone was talking about one thing or the other, gossip spreads as fire here. So  there was pin drop silence when James entered

"So guys, politics isn't just about theory, we need to look at its practical implications as well, so I am pairing the one that's sitting next to you as your partner in the project" he said and I smiled, I am glad me and Kavya will get to work together.

"the captains however, will be working together" he added

umm what the fuck!

"any problems?" he asked and no raised any

"okay so choose good topics, research well and discuss with me cool?" he said

I had my dance class next so I left to reach the auditorium. It was my turn, so I decided to perform on "sun saathiya"

(god dont know why i had to write this song but okayyy)

I finished my performance, everyone seemed to have loved it, applauses filled the room, I stepped down when I saw SANKET

What was he doing here?

"what are you doing here?" I asked and drank some water and sat on the seats

"I didn't ask you that when you were in my guitar class" he said and i instantly regretted asking a dumb question

"fine" I replied and took my towel from my goodie bag and wiped my face

"so I guess we are stuck up together for the project" he said and I nodded

I was indeed stuck with him

"do you have any topic in mind?" he asked and I shaked my head

"I need to think" I said

"well then , I will come at your place?" he said

"sure I don't mind but Neil is bringing his girlfriend or friend whatever along, so it might be distracting" I said

"no worries we can work in your room" he said

"cool" I replied and he got up to leave

"just to let you know, you dance well" he whispered before leaving and it left me blushing

later the same day after our classes got over, I decided to eat in the dorm only, during the last class sanket asked if I needed anything to eat, but declined the offer, I had some cake in the fridge that I cooked on the day I got here, so I
decided to eat that only

I sat in the hall and waited for him to arrive, I tied my hair into a bun and wore my glasses , i also changed my clothes into pajama shorts and a cute crop top and looked for good topics on my laptop

Soon here arrived and jumped on the couch as he sat making me fall over him

"control your self nerd" he said and grinned

"maybe control your jumping" I said as I adjusted myself

soon neil entered and was shocked to see us, maybe shocked to see me on Sanket, trying to adjust myself

"hey dude whats up" sanket got up and did that guy hug thing again

"Aashna if you guys could do your project in the room" Neil said in a weird tone and it pissed me off, like this was equally my dorm

I gave him a look and left my laptop and went to my room

"you forgot the laptop" I could here sanket shout and follow me with the laptop

"are you okay?" he asked sitting next me

NO I AM NOT OKAY

"yup I am fine" I said shaking my thoughts away

"nerd, you don't know how to lie, do you?" he said

"I said I am fine" I say angrily

"okay okay fine, geez you look hot when you are angry" he said and despite the fact that I liked the compliment, I was annoyed

"oh my god, your pictures.." he said and got up to look around

" I guess you were here for the project" I said "can u please focus on that" i was already pissed and i didn't wanted to be more annoyed

He came back and sat quietly, good that he respects someone's privacy. There was a lot of thing going on in my head, I couldn't focus on my work that much, and to annoy me even more, I could hear the girl moaning, ewww and my door was closed so you guys can imagine how loud it would have been

"damn, I didn't know Neil was fast" sanket joked

I just lost my cool, I stormed out of my door and saw what I shouldn't see, Neil was kissing her neck

" can u two, keep it low" I said "we have a project to complete"

"whats wrong with you Aashna?" neil got up and asked calmly

I don't know whats wrong with me but what the fuck is wrong with you

"she is just a jealous bitch babe" that girl said and grabbed neil's arm and made him sit back

"excuse me" I said "jealous? Of what?" I asked

"jealous that I am more hotter than you and took your crush away, aww poor girl" she said

dude what the fuck

"umm, neil was never my crush, please" I said rolling my eyes

that was true, Neil was my best friend only but never a crush, I draw my lines well

"every girl has a crush on her best friend, maybe that's why you and Ava split up, because you broke the girl code" she said

what!!!! How did she just say that!

"Neil, do you have something to say" I said controlling my tears, my voice quivering

What hurt me the most is that he just stayed quiet, despite knowing everything!

"wow, look at my best friend, not having the guts to speak the truth" I scoffed getting myself together

"umm I guess I will leave" sanket said from behind

"what kind of a project were you doing anyways? She was in your arms when we came in, project sex or hookup maybe? Ava told me well about you, you see a hot guy and don't leave a chance to fuck him" she said

WHAT THE FUCK. ME AND SANKET.. AND THAT TOO HOOK UP OR SEX!

"You know what, fuck you, and thanks for the best friendship Neil, i am glad on how you repaid me" I said and showed them the middle finger and left. I could hear sanket shouting to stop but I just ran, I just needed some me time
