"Morning Zara" Maddies little voice said as she walked down the stairs and into the kitchen
"Morning Madds, want breakfast?" Zara asked and the 7 year old nodded
"Where is Peter?" Maddie questioned as she saw the brunett wasn't here
"Collecting his two best friends and Aunt to come here for the weekend, they are staying in a hotel down the load" Zara explained and gave the 7 year old a plate full of pancakes
"Sounds like fun! Can we go to the park today? They told us they were putting a new climbing frame inside it!" Maddie asked excited
"Sure, I'll take you and Shadow when Peter is back" Zara smiled as Brooklyn walked inside
"Hey Z" Brooklyn greeted as she grabbed herself a glass of water.
"Morning Brooklyn. You feeling better?" Zara asked
"Yeah, I'm so screwed if my boss reports me to the police" Brooklyn said rubbing her head
"What did you do?" Zara asked
"I may have thrown a few files at a college cuz he was annoying me" Brooklyn said and Zara rolled her eyes
"I am trying to protect you, like I promised, and all you're doing is annoying the life out of me" Zara said while making Maddie a drink
"Well I am sorry Z, I don't need your protection. The promise can be broken" Brooklyn argued and Zara passed Maddie the drink
"No they can't" Maddie agreed
"See even the 7 year old has more knowledge" Zara said smirking
"I'm sorry, mother" Brooklyn said sarcastically and Zara dropped the plate she held.
The little girl and boy stood at the doors held back by Zaras team. April stood over the two adults holding a gun against the woman and sword at the man. Hydra had been trying to find a way for them to execute this family for the entire time Zara had been a part of them.
"Last chance Carter" April said gripping the trigger on her gun, ready to pull it
"Please keep my daughter Brooklyn and my son Samuel safe!" He begged
"Wrong answer" April smirked and she pulled the trigger on the gun and the bullet shot right through the woman's head.
"Finish this now. The deal is kill the parents so the kids can leave. They are stranded here anyway" Zara commanded and the agents let the kids go and they ran out and far away. April looked at Zara who then nodded and she drove the sword through his heart.
"Zara!?" Maddie said concerned and hugged her.
"I-I'm okay, it was wet and slipped" Zara lied as she grabbed her broom and swept it up after placing Maddie on the kitchen counter so she couldn't cut her feet.
"What happened?" Brooklyn asked and Zara ignored her as she put the plate pieces into the trash. She smiled and placed Maddie on her back and carried her into the living room. The two girls made a cute tent ready for a TV night.
They finished it up and was greeted by
"I'm home" by Peter. Zara and Maddie smiled and stayed hidden in the tent.
"I wonder where my two girls are" Peter said seeing their shadows
