"Hello there" ... Zara felt her heart pound like mad looking at the familiar face once again for the first time in years. May squeezed Zaras arm to keep herself in check. Wanda and Pietro looked at Zara and May and then to him.
"Hi" Wanda said
"Have I seen you all before? You look very familiar" he said and Zara felt a sharp pain through her of hurt that he didn't recognise her.
"Yes you have" Zara said and walked closer to him with the mask. She got close enough and held it out to show him
"Sorry, I heard he died" He said
"What is your name?" Zara asked him and he shrugged his shoulders.
"Wanda" Zara said and Wanda used her powers and made him see the memories he couldn't. He fell to his knees and Wanda released him as she finished.
"I'm him?" He asked and Zara nodded
"I wanna take you home Pete" Zara said
"Home?" He asked
"With Aunt May, Tony Stark, me" Zara said listing the people he knew well
"May..." he said seeing her. Reality hit him and he ran upto May and hugged her while crying.
"Peter" she said crying. After a few minutes he turned to Zara
"My gorgeous girl" he said and kissed her. Tears flooded down her face still while they had their moment which was broken by
"This is awkward" thanks to Pietro. Wanda slapped her brothers arm
"You ruined the reunion!" She said
"Sorry" Pietro murmured. Zara laughed leaning her forehead on Peter's.
"Let's get going home... I need to catch you up with a few things" Zara said and Peter nodded. The five went to the safe house for the night. Pietro and Wanda slept on the lounge floor, Zara and Peter shared a bed and May had her own.
"So what did I miss?" Peter asked Zara
"Well, I have my own squad now, Nats pregnant and engaged to Bucky, I have a pet bird, I made it to Hawaii for a few weeks and yeah sorta famous now" Zara said
"Okay that was not what I was expecting at all" Peter said and the two laughed
"Yeah I was a mess, couldn't deal with another guy because all I wanted was you" Zara said looking Peter in the eyes
"I love you.... hey where did this come from?" Peter asked and played with Zaras necklace Thor gave her
"From Thor before I collapsed... it was a gift from Asgard" Zara explained
"Collapsed?"
"I stopped eating, drinking and sleeping for a few days straight... I was too focused on the job"
"Well my beauty, you have me again to keep you in check" Peter said and the two hugged while falling asleep
In the morning, the 5 got onto the Jet and Zara flew them all home. Peter sat with May while Wanda and Pietro were talking about the past few years.
Zara smiled at the sounds of them talking but soon got distracted with a call to Tony
"Did you find him?" Tony asked over Zaras headset
"Yep, hes coming home Tony... he remembers everything so can you get Carol to pack up and tell her I'll repay her in a few days"
"Sure Z anything. Steve took Junior away to the deepest darkest top secret prison cell we could find so no one can hear the bastard anymore"
"Glad although worth breaking my knuckles. How is Brooklyn and the boys holding up?"
"Perfectly fine, I set them up in a cabin I own and they are under my surveillance so no one is escaping or entering without fingerprints and facial recognition"
"Tony you do realise there is literally ways most SHIELD agents know about to break into there"
"I know Z however they haven't gone against a Stark security system. Oh also there is a package for you from Daisy"
"Alright I will call her, we are a hour out"
"Be safe and come home"
"We will" Zara said then called Daisy
"Hey Quake"
"Mini black widow. What's up?"
"Stark told me you left me a package"
"Yeah call it a parting gift for a while. Something special" Daisy said and Zara laughed
"Yeah I'm looking forward to it" Zara said
"So how did it go?"
"I found Peter. Thanks Daisy without your skills would of been a lot harder" Zara said
"Anything for a best friend. I'll come down in a few days with the girls again" Daisy said
"Fine by me, I got nothing to do besides settle him in" Zara said
"Alright I'll call you in a few days"
"Okay Johnson bye" Zara said and ended it
A hour later they arrived at Zaras HQ and was greeted by Tony. Peter hugged his father figure but Tony was crying and Peter wasn't which was surprising. Meanwhile Wanda and Pietro went to their rooms back at the Avenger HQ after taking May home.
"Long time Mr Stark" Peter said
"Very long time Peter... how was the flight?"
"Well I was the pilot so amazing" Zara said as the three walked inside and through the halls
"Big head" Tony said and Zara glared at him
"You don't realise how scary you are" Tony soon added
"I beat your ass in the prank war Stark and imma beat your ass for fun in a minute"
"Wait a prank war?" Peter questioned
"Yeah me and Sam started one on the entire avenger compound but that was when Nat told me she was pregnant" Zara explained
"Speaking of, she said shes gonna be back in 1 week" Tony said
"Alright that's fine. Where even is she?"
"Some big gig in some random place" Tony said
"Doesn't surprise me" Zara answered then grabbed Peter's hand
"Come on I'll show you to our room" Zara said to him
" 'our'?" Tony questioned only to get a devilish smirk from Zara as she dragged Peter to their room.
"Like it?" Zara asked
"Its huge Z, how on earth did you get this room?"
"Well it's my place. This was the only extension I needed urgently besides my bird house, which you can see from the balcony" Zara said as she opened to door and walked out and you could see a massive bird house full of swings and branches.
"That's amazing" Peter said and wrapped his arms around Zaras waist and rested his head on her shoulder.
"I'm beyond happy to have you back Peter" Zara said
"I knew the entire time there was a part of me missing, the name 'Z' was the only thing that I could remember. I just wished I made myself more obvious sooner"
"Doesn't matter Pete. You're home now" Zara said turning around and giving him a kiss
"Get a room!" Sam shouted as he flew above us.
"I'm gonna kill him in a minute" Zara said and Peter laughed
"I'll talk to him later" Peter said
"Oh by the way, Ned gave me something a year ago, it would be amazing for you to have now" Zara said
"What is it?"
"A photo album of you and him, me and you and many other people. We used it at the funeral but I let Ned keep it for a while so Ned could get himself a copy of it" Zara explained
"Show me later Z, I just want to spend time here with you" Peter said and Zara smiled
"Nothing better than that" Zara said and laughed at herself
"God I ramble"
"Yep" Peter agreed and the two hugged and watched the sun rise
