Lucy PoV

i got back to my flat after leaving Harry's place and as i got in the door then i saw my friend Jess cooking in my kitchen

''well, what are you doing in my flat?'' i greet her as i grab a drink from the fridge

''well, good morning. i was really drunk and i just used my spare key because i didn't want to get a cab home. i hope its okay?''

''yeah, don't worry about it. you know that you are always welcome here'' i tell her

''thanks. anyway, how was your night?''

''well, i would say that it was great'' i reply as we both giggle and she hands me a plate and i walk over to the pan to take the eggs out

''well, you finally did it. are you going to see him again?''

''i put my number in his phone but i don't even know if he will get in touch with me. i might never see him again'' i told her as she sat in the living room and i was walking around

''do you want him to get in touch?''

''yeah. i barely even know him but he was just so easy going. usually when i first meet someone i am shy and i really struggle to talk to them. but with him its just not like that, i felt so at ease and he made me laugh. and he is just really cute'' i told her and she could tell how i was feeling. maybe i liked him more than i realized. 

''so, what you are saying to me is that you are completely, madly in love with this boy?'' Jess asks me

''i mean, i do like him but he probably won't even call or text me. its just going to end up being a stupid one night stand'' i tell her and i sit down on the couch and let out a sigh

''you never know, he could ask you out again''

''i do know though, and its honestly a little heartbreaking. but, i don't think i am in love with him at all''

''yeah, okay then'' Jess laughs at me

after we finished eating, i got up to put our stuff away in the kitchen and i heard my phone go off but thought nothing of it and continued until Jess gasped.

''Lucy!'' she shouts from the couch

''what are you shouting at?'' i ask her as i walk up to the couch

''it's him. its him'' she screams, and i scream back as if we are in high school again

''what did he say'' i shout as i walk towards her

''he says, 'had fun with you last night. fancy a drink later?' oh my god Lucy!''

''give me that'' i reach the couch and i grab my phone to reply to his text

''well?'' Jess asks me

''we are going out later'' i tell her whilst i am feeling giddy. its almost like i am 16 again

''i told you he would ask you out! right, go get showered and then we are going to get you a saucy outfit''

''saucy? what the hell are you on?''

''look, just go get ready and trust me'' she tells me and with a hint of doubt i walk to my room to get ready.
