Harry PoV

Tonight was Friday, and then that means that its date night so Lucy and i were sat with dinner and a film like we always did. the boys were out so we just sat in the living room, we were going to actually relax because we have both had a stressful week with work. Lucy had her first big brand shoot which took a lot out of her. and then next week i am going away for a few days with the boys for a few videos but Lucy can't come with me so we will be apart for the first time in a while.

instead of a takeaway, Lucy was at home all day and made dinner for us which was a nice change. she is quite a good cook but hates doing it so we eat out quite a lot. especially on date night when we just want to sit and enjoy it.

i went out today and picked up our promise rings that i ordered like months ago and they are finally here. i do want to  give it to Lucy tonight but also Christmas isn't that far away so i have a slight urge to save it for then so that i don't have to search for another big present.

Lucy PoV

harry and I sat and watched the film as we were eating dinner. it was nice to just have a calm night in after i finished eating he paused the movie and stared over at me.

''why are you staring at me, its a little creepy'' i ask him after a few seconds and we chuckle

''i love you, you know'' he tells me and leans over to kiss me

''i love you too, but was that it? you interrupted a classic movie like the notebook to tell me that?'' i joke with him

''no, actually I have something for you'' he tells me as he pulls away

''oh what is it?'' I ask as he pulls out a box from his pocket. I went straight to the idea of an engagement ring and started to freak out

''anyway, Lucy-''

''Harry what the hell are you doing?'' i stop him talking and ask him as i freak out

''well I-'' he starts to reply

''no, no. Don't do it, we are not ready for that'' i blurt out

''what the hell are you talking about?'' Harry asks me as he starts to freak out at me a little bit

''well, aren't you proposing to me?''

''uh, no.''

''oh okay, sorry I just freaked a little. you can continue'' i take a deep breath and then chuckle

''anyway, this is for you. And me I guess but you can open it''

''okay'' I told him as I opened the box and saw two rings inside. One black ring band for Harry and a thin gold band with a diamond on it for me ''harry, these are really cute. what is it for?''

''it's a promise ring, so the guy at the shop was like its an engagement to be engaged kind of thing''

''i love that'' i tell him as he takes my ring out of the box and sides it onto my finger, then i put the ring on his and we lied with each other in front of the screen
