CHAPTER 2

"Ivan," I whispered. "didn't know you were here."

"Yeah same thought, I flew here because I heard your family is having an interview for the inheritance of your company," he said playfully "So tell me? What is the feeling of being the future owner of your company." he said, brows shot up.

I laughed at his question.

"Stressed. You know me, this is not my dream profession but still manage to inherit this for the hard work given by my ancestors, you know, I cannot let their hardship go to waste. Besides, I became a trainee there for the whole 6 months" I explained.

"Hmm, am I forgiven?" He said. A  glimpse of hope got in his eyes.

"Of course, you didn't do anything bad, I guess?" I said then laughed.

"No, I really am sorry, I mean I didn't mean to precede your feelings about Jace." He said, then held his nape.

"No, Really, I'm okay. Enough with me, how are you?" I said then laughed, trying to lift away the weird athmosphere.

"I'm okay, engaged," he said.

"Aww, that's sweet. Who's the lucky girl?" 

"Nicole, Nicole Fernandez, you should meet her, she's nice."

"I would love to! When's the wedding?"

"3 months from now,"

"Oh! That fast? Anyways, I should be invited ah?" I said, I mean there's no hard feelings between us.

"Of Course! Kayo ba? How are things working with Jayson?"He said, Initiating a conversation.

I shrugged, "Nothing much, I mean, a mont after my college graduation he migrated without saying anything to me," I said, looking down.

"My bad, shouldn't asked," He said, feeling sorry.

"No it's okay, I have forgtten about him already. Years ago." I said then laughed.

"Ma'am Gem? Tumawag na po si Madam, pinapauwi na po kayo." My bodyguard said then left.

"I think I should go now, I still have preperations to do. Sorry I have to leave early."

"It's okay, you can go, beside i'll be meeting you in the  interview."

I didn't have time to say bye. I just waved at Ivan goodbye.

When I got to the mansions, reporters are at the front door. Because of that I had to use our back door.

I entered the house and went inside my room. I chose a black backless dress that hugged the curves of my body paired with a diamond earing and a silver stilettos, pulled my hair into bun then lastly a classic handbag from chanel.

"Ma'am are you ready for the interview?" Said the girl who's wearing a formal attire a clipboard in her hands and a headset with a microphone piece, I nodded in response "Okay ma'am, I'll send 3 reporters, do you have any specific reporters to have?"

"None, anyone will do,"

"Okay then, be ready at three." She said "Alpha 1, please send the top 3 reporters" the girl said then placed a mic in front neck drop, then handed me an earpiece. " Be ready maam, the reporters are near." She said. As if on cue, three reporters came in 2 girls and a boy.

"Okay! To inform everyone, this is a continous interview, meaning this interview will be aired using the same clips for each and everyone. Is that clear?" The three reporters nodded "Okay then first will be Ms. Belinque followed by Mr.Nadug and Mrs. Kilio"She said then looked at her clipboard, "Ready at three... two....one.... Rolling!"
