When Kushina Uzumaki arrived at the Ito shrine the next day around noon, she was pleasantly surprised to find Obito Uchiha blind folded and in a stance while Kikyo stood with a staff in her hand. Kushina watched as Obito made a wrong step and Kikyo whacked the leg that was placed wrong before telling him to do it again. Kikyo circled the Uchiha boy and gave him directions to which he nodded and corrected himself.

"Kikyo-chan!" Kushina exclaimed as she waved her hand in the air at the young girl.

Kikyo looked in her direction and waved back at the red headed woman. As Kushina neared the pair, Obito took off his blindfold and bowed to Kikyo before greeting Kushina herself.

"Funny seeing you here Kushina-san! I didn't know you and Kikyo-chan knew each other." Obito said.

"We only just met the other day. What were you two doing?"

"Obito needs help with his katas and rather come to me than another clansman that will scold him for not already having it down pact like he should."

Obito huffed and stuck his nose in the air causing Kushina to laugh and ruffle his hair a little. "That's nice of you to do. Obito-kun, do you mind leaving Kikyo-chan and I alone for some girl talk?"

The Uchiha boy blushed and scratched the back of his head and nodded, "Sure, sure. Minato-sensei said we had a mission tomorrow anyways so I have to go back home and pack some stuff. I'll see you tomorrow morning before I head off, okay Kikyo-chan?"

Kikyo nodded and bid Obito goodbye, leading Kushina inside the shrine and through a sliding door that was on the left side of the shrine. The door led into Kikyo's home, well, what looked like her living room area. A table sat low to the ground with some cushions surrounding it and a dark blue carpet underneath, a large bookshelf separated the dining room from the kitchen area and then a hallway led to two more doors that were closed.

Kushina sat on a cushion as Kikyo went into the kitchen, turning the stove on and placing a kettle on the burner. Kushina sat silently, looking around and taking in her surroundings as Kikyo busied herself in the kitchen making what she can only assume was some tea for the two. There was a large photograph that hung on the wall of Kikyo and her parents, she looked about 10 years old in the photograph but she resembled her parents so perfectly. Kikyo looked exactly like her mother but with her father's eyes, Kushina couldn't help but wonder if her father was somehow related to the Second Hokage with how much alike they looked. Kikyo soon joined Kushina at the table, placing two small cups and a teapot on the table as well as a plate of snacks for the two. Kikyo also grabbed a scroll and ink pen before sitting down.

"So, Kushina-san. Let's talk about your wedding."

"Oh please, Kikyo-chan! Kushina is fine. There's no need to be so formal with me or Minato. We're just ordinary people."

Kikyo nodded and opened the scroll to begin writing, "Okay, Kushina then. Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze... when do you two plan for ceremony to happen?"

Kushina laughed nervously, "Uh... two weeks from today? When Minato-kun and everyone come back from their mission."

The two continued to talk about the wedding, apparently the two didn't want anything fancy, just a traditional wedding in the shrine. Which in turn, Kikyo was very grateful for, sure the shrine was big and the yard in the back was large enough for a big wedding but smaller traditional ceremonies were always nicer and more personal. Minato's students would be present as would the Third Hokage which meant that ANBU would be stationed around the shrine but not involved, one of the legendary Sannin would also be there. Kikyo didn't know how she felt about so many high ranking shinobi in her home but then again, the Uchiha clan often frequented her space for ceremonies so maybe this wouldn't be much of a difference.
