Sophie

Knock. Knock.
"What?" Sophie croaked. She'd just woke up from two hours of sleep. That's what you get for packing for a month long trip and have no idea what to pack. Especially when all you have for clothing is a pair of jeans. Because it would be really awkward walking around humans and wearing cloaks and beautiful dresses. Nope. Not something Sophie wanted to do anytime soon.
"Were you planning on going on a month long trip and not saying goodbye to your best friend?" A voice said. Whoever was outside Sophie's door hadn't come in yet. She was also too tired to try to place a voice with a name.
"No! I'm her best friend!" Said another voice. They were bickering for about a minute before Sophie said: "Just come in."
Sophie sat up in her bed at Havenfield. Dex, Biana, and Linh came into her room.
"Wow. You've been... busy," Dex said. Dex was right. Sophie's bedroom was a mess. Packing for a trip to the Forbidden Cities was a bit messier than Sophie thought. Clothes were thrown on the floor here, and pages from Sophie's notebook there. She was trying to make lessons for Keefe so he could learn a little French and English before they left. Sophie was doing a lot of transmitting knowledge into Keefe's brain. Sophie realized she could use the same method of transmitting information into Keefe's mind like she had when she transmitted the star maps into Fitz's mind. Luckily, Keefe was now completely fluent in English and French. It's creepy how well Keefe can speak the languages with perfect accents.
"Yeah. Who knew trying to teach someone two languages in a week was so complicated," Sophie said.
"Well, I don't think teaching Keefe makes it any easier," Biana said. "Trying to teach Keefe anything important is like teaching a Sasquatch to swim."
"Yeah," Sophie said. "What did you guys come here for?"
"You can't leave without saying goodbye! Think about how heartbroken I would be if you left without seeing me!" Linh said.
"There's also some news," Dex said, blushing. That made Sophie nervous. Did she do something wrong?
"Dex and I have something to tell you," Biana said. Linh left the room. Now Sophie was really anxious.
"So. Biana—," Dex was cut off by Edaline, Grady, and Linh. They all had worried looks on their faces.
"Hurry. Come outside. Now," Edaline said.
