Chapter 11.

April 2014..

4 months... I stayed in a rented apartment in LA, while I prepared myself for the tour. I was guided by Caroline for almost everything. She was really sweet and helped me through. I convinced her not to tell any of the boys about me and she was going with my plan. My designs were improvised, my speed of work and everything was improvised, credits to Caroline and the other designers.

She told me about the boys and their choice of clothing, I was quick to catch up. I met Simon once again, he told me that he liked my progress. I told Simon about my surprise and he too, assured me he won't tell anyone of them.

I don't think I found him as cruel as Alia described.

I skyped my family once in three days, I would meet the boys. Me, El and Soph would meet and go for shopping or girls' day. Yea, El and Soph for me, they called me Ash. I loved my nickname. Even the boys started calling me Ash. Me and Zayn used to hangout, no dates..

You wish they were... Yea I wish.

But we bonded really well, I felt that connection with him. But, I was still too afraid to tell him about my feelings. So, I kept my feelings inside me.

I had a week before leaving for tour. I was told that I'll meet up with the boys and crew in Mumbai itself. But, I told the boys I'll be meeting them in Mumbai and leave 2 days before their concert to fly to Australia. They had no clue I was their new designer, everything was going according to my plan.

I was on the airport. I had my flight to Mumbai in 40 mins. The boys, Soph and El were here to wish me. I purposely told Caroline not to show up and assured her that I'll be fine. She took a whole lot of convincing though.

"Hey Ash.. Where's Sarah?" Zayn asked.

"Uhh..She had a meeting, so she didn't come." I said pointing my thumb in whatever direction it went.

"Atleast she would've come to see you.." He said with a frown. I shook my head.

"It's okay Zayn... She insisted on coming, but I refused." I said with the most convincing smile I could ever give to someone. He thought for some time and let out a sigh. I took it as a good sign.

"Okay.. take care. And call anyone of us after you land." He said again.

"I will. You too, take care." I said and wrapped my arms around him. He hugged me tight and kissed me on my cheek after we pulled away. I couldn't help but smile to myself. I heard low whistles and cheers from the guys. We looked at them.

"Shut it!!" Zayn snapped at them, but the smile on his face was still there.

"Nahh! I still wonder how you're not a couple." Niall replied.

"Me too." Soph added and nodded in agreement. Wow!! Now I won't stop blushing... Zayn slightly punched him on the arm. Then the girls came and hugged me.

"I'll miss you Ash." Soph said with a sigh.

"Me too." El added.

"I'll miss you too. Thanks for everything, Soph, El." I said genuinely. I had fun with the girls. They didn't treat me like I was any simple girl, they treated me like a close friend.

"I hope we'll meet again." El said hopefully. I smiled to myself.

"We'll meet soon." I nodded.

Then, I went to the boys and hugged them. When I hugged Liam, he whispered in my ear. "You have to tell him, Ash."

"I will Li, trust me. Just, you've to wait." I assured him.

"Promise me." He didn't ask, he demanded.
