Chapter 42

[LAST CHAPTER OF MY FIRST STORY!!]

"Now..now. Lets get to the main event..." Jack smirked. "Boys! Come on up here!" He called them. We all looked at them as they walked up. Zayn took a step ahead, but again took two back. Niall, Louis, Liam and Harry stopped midways, looking at him. Niall gave me a look, I nodded at him.

I quietly walked beside Zayn, and bumped into his shouder gently. He looked at me instantly, making my cheeks flush into a shade of red. For God's sake! Stop blushing!

I looked at him and slightly tilted my head towards the boys. He looked at them, and again at me.

"I don't know.. Should I?" He asked in his deep voice, sending shivers down my spine. It's been forever since I talked to him, and I miss it, I miss him. I nodded with a small smile.

"You should." I answered. A smile lingered his lips. He took some steps ahead, still keeping his eyes on me, and then walked on the stage with the boys. A warm feeling coursed through my body as I realised that he never changed. The only thing changed were his feelings for me. Sigh.

"But, before we go any further, let's take a glimpse of their 10 years together...." Jack added and moved to a side.

The lights dimmed and the screen at our front lit up, showing pictures of them from the X-factor, with the song 'Don't forget where you belong' in the background. And I'm not lying, a wave of goosebumps erupted over my skin. The mood setting was just perfect. The time we spent together was.. phenomenal. I never thought in my wildest dreams, that one day, I'd be doing all those crazy things I did with the boys. It was an amazing experience, and with a bunch of amazing friends that I could ever ask for. I missed those times, especially with Zayn. The way he looked at me, the way he spoke to me. I don't think anyone can ever make me feel the way he did.

Muskaan lightly squeezed my shoulder as if she felt the sudden change in my emotions. I gave her a thankful smile and turned my gaze back to the screen. Loud cheers and applause came from the crowd after the video ended. The last pic of them was the last hug on the X-factor.

"Ahh... I'm an emotional wreck right now. This is too much to handle." Jack placed his hand on his chest dramatically, making all of us laugh.

"So now.. I want our lovely boys to take the charge." He pointed his hand towards them and took some steps back. Then Louis came at front.

"You've all seen the lovely journey of our five years together. And this was all possible because of our beautiful, adoring and incredible fans. A massive, massive thank you to all of them. Even when we were on a break, you stayed. Supported us like you always do. We're really, really grateful for the love you've given all these years." He said and all the fans screamed.

Now all of them came forward and Louis handed the mic to Jack. Niall took a champagne bottle and held it up in the air.

"TO 10 GLORIOUS YEARS OF ONE DIRECTION!!" Jack screamed and Niall popped it. All of us cheered and clapped as the drink spilled on the floor. Now, Liam took the mic.

"Now, as all of you know. All of us have been waiting for something, from the past five years.." He trailed off, making the crowd cheer for them ".. No, no. It's not a reunion." He said again, making us laugh. Well, it hurt though, just a little bit. 

"As ya'll know, yesterday, we announced through the band's social media handles, that we'll upload a video of our 10 years together. A memory. But, no one knows what the video is about.." He said, looking at the boys. All of them had smirks on their faces.
