Chapter 29

"Yes..me." He answered.

"Why? Why did you do this to me? I TRUSTED YOU! I THOUGHT YOU CARED FOR ME ROHAN!!" I shouted and broke down. He looked up and came towards me.

"Don't.. touch me..." I warned him. He stopped. I still couldn't get this through my head, it felt like a nightmare.

"From when?" I asked in a low voice.

"The day I met you." He answered. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He has liked me for quite a long time..

*Flashback*

It was the first day of my college. I wasn't the type of girl which was daring, carefree or which will snap back at someone. I was the shy, quiet one. I didn't know how my daring nature changed to that one.

I entered the college premises. The thing I was most scared of, was that Muskaan wasn't there with me. She chose commerce, while I chose science. We had completely different schedules. So, I was all by myself, no friends at all.

"Hey.. freshy?" Some girl yelled behind me, making me stop in my track. I looked behind.

"What? Goongi hai kya? Jawaab de!" (Are you mute? Answer me!) She yelled. I nodded my head.

"Yess..." I said, she smirked.

"Follow me.." she said. I thought she was helping me, so I followed her. I was a failure when it came to recognising people, and I realised it that day. She led me to the lockers and banged me on one of them. I flinched by her sudden behaviour.

"See that guy there.." She pointed at her left. There was a cute guy, definitely older than me, standing there with some books in his hand. Talking on his phone.

"Is he a senior?" I asked. She chuckled.

"That's our biology professor, Manik Shah." She said and I nodded my head.

"No, don't worry.. He's all yours. I won't even think about him!" I blurted out. She rolled her eyes.

"Listen to me first!" She said in a bored tone. I nodded.

"Go and ask him out on a date." She ordered, making my eyes go wide. I shook my head. She gripped my wrist harder, making me slightly hiss.

"If you don't, I'll beat the hell out of you!" She exclaimed.

"And bully you for the rest of your year.. Its your choice." She added. I nodded my head and she let me go.

I slowly made my way towards Mr. Shah, and was scared to death. What if my parents find out about it? I looked back at her, she rolled her sleeves up, threatening me. I gulped.

"Excuse me, Prof. Shah." I said, he looked at me. My heart was about to explode due to fear. He talked on his phone for some more seconds and then kept it back in his pocket.

"Yes."

"Actually I.. um.. I'm new here." I said. He raised his eyebrow.

"And.." He gestured to continue.

"And I-I-I.." I started stuttering "...wanted to-to... um.." I stopped and cursed myself in my mind. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

"Iwantedtoaskyououtonadate!" I spoke rapidly. He gave me a questioning look.

"Sorry I didn't catch it.." he said.
