Chapter 33

I made my way into the room before the doctor could complete. My heart skipped a beat as I saw her, trying to sit properly on her bed with the help of a nurse.

I grinned widely as she made eye contact with me. Her eyes were bloodshot red, as if she had cried. I rushed to her and took her into my arms. Happy tears rolled down my cheek. My love was alive and safe, in front of my eyes. I pulled away and cupped her face immediately, kissing her face. I looked at her contently and placed my lips against her. The giddy feelings were back in my stomach. Finally, I will be able to confess my love for her, again. Finally, I will propose her. I'll spend the rest of my life with my love, with my Aisha..

But, she pushed me away and looked at me angrily. I looked at her worriedly as the words left her mouth.

"What the hell! Who are you?!"

The smile on my face faded away. She really said that?

"Ash.. You don't recognise me? It's.. It's Zayn. I'm your boyfriend.. you-you love me.." I said, not believing that I needed to tell her this.

"Boyfriend? I don't have one.. I'm sorry.. I don't know you. I don't know any Zayn.." She answered with her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. That's when my heart shattered into pieces, again. Tears started brimming my eyes. She doesn't recognise me.. she doesn't. No.. this is not true..

"Hun.. If this is a joke, it's not funny at all. Please stop." I walked towards her. "We all have been-" I said, but she moved a bit away.

"Stay away from me!" She warned. I took a step back. Her words hurt me, they really did.

"They are coming.. Oh God Aisha!!" Sophia exclaimed in happiness and walked towards her. Ash raised her hand.

"Don't touch me!" She warned her. Sophia stopped in her tracks. "I don't know you. Maybe you guys have mistaken me with someone else.. My name is Aisha too, but I'm not the one you're looking for." She answered.

"What?!" The two boys exclaimed in disbelief as they heard her answer.

"Ash! Please don't play silly games. Not now. Can't you see we're all worried for you?" Liam asked, she flinched at his sudden outburst.

"I don't know what you're talking about.." She replied, shaking her head.

My mind blanked out. She didn't remember me, means she didn't remember the time we spent with each other, she didn't remember those moments, she didn't remember the love, nothing.

Harry shook me out of my trance. I shook my head. She will remember me, I just have to try. I slowly walked towards her, she tried moving back again.

"Please.. I would never hurt you.." I said, she gave me an unsure nod. I sat on the bed, beside her and hesitantly took her hands in mine, hoping she would feel the love and care she always felt.

She looked at me into my eyes. I wanted to cry again. Her beautiful brown eyes made me weak, but I couldn't just give up. She will remember.

"Try to remember Ash.. We..We met at the Mumbai airport. You toured with us.. We were in love.. The threats.. You got kidnapped.. Please try.." I requested, trying to contain my tears. She looked down and thought for a while. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, and shook her head. She took her hands away from mine.

"You-You don't feel anything.." I asked. She looked down and shook her head. She didn't feel anything for me. My hope was killed. All the dreams were killed. I defeatedly got up from the bed.
