3rd Person's POV
Three rowdy boys enter the quiet school library. Some students look up from their work to see who it is that is making all that noise. Many simply return back to work, others roll their eyes at them. The boys make their way to an empty table and throw their backpacks onto it.
They take out notebooks and pencils, ready to "work. Even though they knew they weren't going to get much work done. One of them, Alex Alvarez, a tall slim latino, was actually trying to get some work done so he wouldn't fail his classes. He put his headphones on and tuned out his loud friends. At first glance, Alex seems the type to have it all. With his good looks and athletic abilities, Alex was labeled the "popular jock" in school. Sure he plays baseball and is one of the most talented players the school has ever had, but he didn't really see why he was portrayed as a "jock".
At first Alex didn't mind at all the attention he got from being popular. Girls, parties, the hundreds of followers on social media were all things any teenage boy wouldn't mind having in high school. However for Alex it all started to get annoying, with girls constantly throwing themselves at him and having to put up this persona who wasn't him. All he wanted now was to finish high school with little to no attention, he wanted to meet a girl who liked him for him and not for his many instagram followers or his social status in school.
On the other side of the library sat a girl. Her h/l h/c was in a messy ponytail, a fairly over sized hoodie on her body, and her face free of any makeup. A laptop was open in front of her, along with a notebook and multiple colored pens and highlighters, her backpack also messily thrown on the table. Her headphones in her ears playing a random playlist she had made. She's writing down notes on her notebook, every now and then looking up to her laptop and highlighting important information.
She goes by the name y/n. Loved and adored by many who meet her. With only a few close friends, y/n often found herself alone. Which she of course didn't mind at times, she would use that time to study, do homework, or just chill, however there were times y/n wished she wasn't alone, that she had someone by her side. Someone who didn't see her as the girl who didn't have many friends and spent most of her time doing school work.
The song that was playing ends and soon another starts up. It's "Ocean Eyes" by Billie Eilish. The intro chords begin playing, which causes the girl to smile slightly and hum along to the song.
Back to the other side of the library, where Alex and his friends sat, Alex begins to grow tired of sitting down and doing work. He decides to walk around and try and clear his mind a bit. He stands from his seat and lets his friends know where he is going. He grabs his phone off the table and shoves it into his pocket. He starts walking to the back of the library, going through isle after isle of books, pausing every now and then to see some books.
Y/N is now no longer humming the song, but singing quietly to herself. She tries not to sing loudly so she doesn't disturb anyone near her. Very few people knew she could sing, mainly her close friends and her family. It wasn't something she liked to flaunt around, it was just something she liked to do in her free time when she was alone and feeling like letting herself go a bit.
He's standing in front of a book case and reading the back of a book he picked up, when he suddenly hears singing. It's not loud, almost as if the person were trying to put a baby to sleep. He follows the sweet singing and finds himself in front of a girl. She doesn't notice him, so naturally she continues singing.
She looks up from her notebook onto her laptop and notices a guy standing a few feet away from her. Not just any guy though, it's Alex Alvarez, St. Bibianas star baseball player. She stops her singing and pulls out her headphones.
