08h45 - Central Base of the Mafia, Seoul
The sound of my motorcycle bursted as I stopped my track right in front of the two tall gates, two huge pieces of plain and virgin iron, sculpted into an obviously impossible-to-break-through obstacle. My eyes shifted to the small electronic device on the left side, its small yet noticeable red light on the right corner making me aware I was being watched.
I couldn't yet see what building stood behind those doors, but even though the security seemed incredibly tight, I was still surprised I was standing almost right in the centre of the capital, right in the middle of Seoul.
The place I was about to get myself into was, supposedly, the main quarters of the Mafia's empire, the centre base of their business, let aside the "Recruitment Centre" as they called it.
Surely, I wouldn't expect less from the family, but god help the Government on catching clues enough to make these guys actually stay behind bars. Their whole system was so absurd, they held a full-on criminal business right in the centre of the city, only a few blocks from the actual Goverment main building, and they couldn't even do something about it.
'Name' I heard a deep voice echo on my left ear, making me turn my head to the piece once again.
'Jeon Jungkook' I perfectly spelled, my words firm under my thick voice.
My right hand firmly gripped the throttle, as the two big iron doors began to slide across from me, letting a wide opened entrance to the complex. It wasn't even ten seconds before I was inside, the motor still banging noisily as I trailed the path carefully arranged, a trail of trees on each side of it.
My eyes scanned around, my gaze attentively taking in the expertly designed environment.
Beautiful and luxurious. Also the perfect amount of trees to make it impossible for one to escape, if needed.
The alley at the end of the path was a semi-circle, a row of seemingly expensive cars lined up on its side. I parked myself in the edge, my helmet sliding up my head as I analyzed the tall standing building on the side.
I couldn't deny I was surprised.
The facade consisted of an obviously old building, a traditional one, its colorful dark red and green contrasting with the pitch blackness of the Korean traditional wood, in a perfectly sculpted and elegant palace.
I would wait for it to continue on its back with long corridors and traditional gardens if I couldn't actually see the huge glass made building behind it.
Extending a few meters and various floors, a modern building locked into the landscape of the traditional one, sinking into its gracefulness and blending perfectly together.
They have money and good taste, I can't doubt that.
Just as I stepped forward, beating my boots against the stone made floor trailing towards the main entrance, two glass electrical doors slid open and an over-the-average big man came through them, wearing the most serious expression I'd encountered in years. He wore a deep black shirt, tight to his body, practical dark pants, clutching into his overly worked muscles, just like his shirt, tattoos covering his skin from his neck to his hands.
My lips twitched in amusement as he approached me, waiting for me to stop on my feet, and tensing when I didn't.
'Who are you?' He asked, looking straight into my eyes. A vein popped up right on his temple and I couldn't help but to stare at it for a few seconds, for quite too long, in disgust, seeing how a single drop of sweat ran through it, right from his buzz cut.
