08h03 - Main Mansion
I eyed myself in the mirror, scratching the towel on my hair. It was damp after my shower and even if I was wearing one of my warmest black sweatshirt, I still felt the freezing cold of the morning.
Trying to give myself enough energy to leave the small compartment and slip under the forest to get to the furthest cabin, where I'd been assigned for a shift, I moved myself towards the small window in the corner of the room, eyeing the now nearly empty old trees of the forest.
There was almost no green in them at that point, excluding a few of them, a bit further from the Main Mansion. The floor was almost fully visible, the spread cabins through the perimeter also in sight, the Greenhouse just in the limit of the leaved trees.
It would start to become harder to hide.
The sky was grey and the wind seemed to be breezing. The light wasn't much, but still everything was perfectly visible.
And that was when I saw the small black and white dot of a girl, slipping across the garden behind the house, moving through the not so hidden forest anymore. She was distant, but her dark colored hair and the thin legs, moving quickly and swiftly through the trunks, made me instantly recognize her.
Lizzie.
What is she doing in the garden at 8 in the morning? She was supposed to be working.
I poked my tongue on my tongue, tilting my head as I watched how she continued her journey through the green trees, disappearing.
I had to find out.
Rushing out of my room, I walked along the employees silent corridor, with my hands inside my newly acquired oversized coat, the sound of my boots probably making sure not a single person was still sleeping on the whole floor.
As always, the door creaked when I found myself outside, bowing to a young male storming inside the building, before I turned my head and dipped through the forest.
I didn't have much time, but I needed to find out more about Lizzie.
Because I had a feeling she wasn't as naive as she appeared.
She always knew about everything going on in the house. She was acquainted enough with every one from the Inner Circle. She spoke to Y/N like no other employee would ever dare too. And most importantly-
Y/N didn't like her.
She despised her.
From the looks the two females always shared and the way Lizzie referred to Y/N, it was obvious she disliked her as well, but that wouldn't have been surprising, since they'd grown together. She was jealous of her.
But what had she done to Y/N?
It wasn't hard to find the kneeling girl at the usual small garden in the middle of the forest.
Lizzie looked at the tulips planted on the floor, giving them water and making sure they seemed as bright as usual, which was actually difficult under the harsh weather, with the icy wind and the ridiculously low temperature.
But she seemed eager to do it.
'Hey' I muttered as I stepped outside the clearing. Lizzie shot to turn around, eyes subtly widened to my sight.
'Jungkook?' She asked immediately, followed by a frown, eyes lightly glancing to the side nervously 'What are you doing here?'
'I saw you walking in this direction and got curious' I told her, hands inside my pockets still 'Are you okay?'
