The next morning I felt good

The next morning I felt good. I felt like there was a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I felt like for once I could go to work and not feel anxious about seeing Jimmy. It was a good day, and an amazing feeling.

I hopped down the stairs of my perfect home, went into the kitchen, and put together a small breakfast for myself all while humming softly.

"Wow, someone's in a good mood." Kiara said with a wide smile as she came into the kitchen and brewed a pot of coffee. "Did your little fundraiser go as well as you planned?" Kiara asked me curiously with a smile. I chuckled slightly at her question while thinking back on last night.

"Yeah, you could say that." I answered Kiara with a smile as I finished making my avacado toast and took a small bite after I spoke.

"Well spill it Mila. I need the deets." Kiara demanded while pouring herself a cup of her freshly brewed coffee.

"To sum it up I volunteered to participate in this fundraiser not knowing that I volunteered myself to be auctioned off to players on the team. All the girls were dressed slutty, so I decided to crack out my pole dancing routine. Jimmy ended up buying me, and long story short we're on good terms now." I said while looking at Kiara who was wide eyed and full of shock.

"Girl please tell me you did that routine from our class we took years ago! That shit was sexy!" Kiara spat playfully. I nodded and smiled at her question.

"Yes, I did." I answered before taking another bite of my toast.

"Girl how much money did you raise with that routine?" Kiara asked me with a curious smile.

"Jimmy spent three thousand.." I answered quietly.

"JIMMY BOUGHT YOU?!" Kiara yelled with a smile on her face. She must have missed it when I said it the first time.

"Relax Kiara, jesus." I said with a smile before continuing. "We spent the night talking and working through our shit. That's literally it." I informed Kiara as she sipped her coffee. "Which is why I'm in such a good mood. For once I can go to work and not be stressed out about the drama between Jimmy and I because there isn't any." I said with a happy smile as I finished my breakfast throwing away my plate. Kiara chuckled at my comment for a few seconds before she spoke.

"Whatever you say Mila." I could tell by the tone in her voice that she didn't believe me. "I have a shoot with Calvin Klein today, I'm not sure how long I'll be, so don't wait up." Kiara informed me as I grabbed my keys and headed for the door.

"Alright! See ya later, I have to go to my new drama-free job." I said playfully making sure to emphasize drama-free. I could hear Kiara's laughter echo through our kitchen as I left the house.

I didn't care what Kiara thought, I knew things were gonna be different between Jimmy and I from here on out.

When I arrived at the stadium I went straight out onto the field. Everyone was gathered in the sidelines not participating in practice. I spotted Claire and immediately went to her side.
