A few weeks had passed and the 49ers had continued their winning streak without Jimmy. I knew it was killing him not being able to be out there with the team after all the hard work he put into training this offseason.
Last week was the last week of preseason thank god, so after this game Jimmy and the rest of our offensive line would finally be able to play. I was so excited to see the whole team play together, I could hardly contain it honestly.
Everytime I saw Jimmy I couldn't help but think about our trip to Hawaii, or that day in my office. I really hadn't sorted out my feelings for Jimmy quite yet.
I knew I loved him and wanted to be with him, but I just wasn't sure if it was the best decision for us both moving forward. The last thing I wanted to do was fuck up either of our careers, we've both come too far to ruin it all now.
The entire week before Jimmy's first game Shanahan had the team on the field practicing together as much as they could stand.
Claire and I just stood in the sidelines spectating as the coaches worked their magic.
"Sooo Jimmy's finally gonna play this week, and it's a Monday night game. Are you ready to cream your pants or what?" Claire asked me playfully. I hit her arm rather hard before replying to her comment.
"No." I scoffed, trying to answer quickly.
"You know he's gonna kick ass, and it's gonna feel really good." Claire said with a playful smile. There was only a few seconds of silence before she spoke again. "I don't know why the two of you just don't date already. It's really not as complicated as you're making it out to be." Claire stated after her first comment.
I shot her a side glare while remaining silent. I really didn't wanna get into this with her right now, especially not here.
After about thirty minutes into practice Shanahan gave the team a water break. The team jogged towards Claire and I as we stood in the sidelines.
My phone suddenly started to ring, throwing me off guard a little. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and noticed it was an unfamiliar number. I answered the call and began walking away from everyone for some privacy.
"Hello?" I answered cheerfully.
"Hello, is this Camila Harris?" The woman on the other end of the phone asked me curiously.
"Yes, this is she. May I ask who's calling?" I asked the woman curiously.
"My name is Lisa, and I work for Cosmopolitan. My manager Leo wanted me to ask you if you would be interested in doing a photoshoot with us?" The woman asked me happily. I smiled widely and nodded at her offer before answering.
"Yes! I would love to!" I shouted excitedly.
"Great! The shoot's Monday afternoon at three in our establishment in Santa Clara." The woman informed me. When Lisa said the words Monday afternoon I could feel my heart sink. "See you then!" Lisa chirped happily before hanging up. She didn't even give me a chance to deny it, or even think about it.

Fanfiction✧・゚: *✧・゚:* "Listen, please just make my job easy for the both of us okay?" I said sternly to Jimmy as he took off his sweaty tank top. "You're the one who came into the locker room and tried to punch me, I think you're the one who can't get along."...
