CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

Five days After (from the last scene of my last update)

Bella was busy reviewing a contract for the models she casted for the event and partnership with New York Models when her office phone rang.

"Anderson and Anderson, Bella speaking how may I help you?" She answered the caller with their regular office phone etiquette. She heard someone, somewhat fake a coughing sound from the other line.

"May I know who's this please." She repeated and asked the caller again. Bella was patiently waiting for the reply when a familiar voice suddenly spoke up from the other line.

"I want you to meet me up for lunch, Iha. I want you to be at the lobby of "The Ritz" at exactly twelve noon." The man told her with an eagerness and fury in his voice. 

"Tito, I don't think there is something we need to talk about." She politely but coldly told him as she tried to calm her nerves and rolled her chair away from her desk, her office wireless phone on her hand. She turned her back from her office door and tried to discreetly talk to the man from the other line as she does not want someone to hear them.

"You don't know what will hit you, Iha. Come at "The Ritz" by lunch or you will regret, saying no to me." He underlyingly threatened her.

Bella took a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly as she answered the older man. "12 noon at the Ritz, Tito. I'll be there." She unwillingly but calmly told him.

"Good Girl, Iha. See you, then." He told her before abruptly ending the call. She was still trying to calm herself and assessing the call and the conversation when she suddenly heard Edwards voice from her back.

"Who will you be meeting in "The Ritz", Bella? He asked her in a somewhat cold and doubtful tone. Bella sighed silently and turned her chair to face him.

"Someone not important, Love. And why are you here at my office at the middle of working hours, Mr. Chairman?" She asked him playfully as she tried hard to change the topic and ignore his question.

Edward looked at her in the eye with a certain fear and fury in his beautiful brown eyes. "I Love you so much, Bella. I just want you to know that and I won't get tired telling it to you." He told her, meaningfully as he strode towards her, his eyes intently looking at her with a mixture of love, passion and a tinge of anger in his expression.

"I know, Edward and it never fails to warms me every time you’re telling me that. and I love you, too." She countered and smiled at him sweetly as she tried her best to hide her emotions She then stood up and hugged him tightly.

"Now go back to work Mr. Chairman if that is the only reason why you grace me with your presence." She teasingly told him as she playfully pinched the side of his waist.

Edward chuckled and looked at her. "I came by to ask you if you already signed the papers Papa gave you, regarding your appointment as President of A&A New York." He casually asked her with a glint of curiousness and again anger in his eyes.

"Oh, that..." She testingly said as she silently plead to him with her eyes.

"Yes, that." He coldly said and walked away from her hug.

"I was waiting for you to tell me, Bella. I was waiting for you to tell me that Papa talked to you and I am waiting for you to be honest with me and tell me that Tito William is actually harassing and threatening you to meet up with him and his son, who happens to follow you here in New York but I guess I will remain on waiting." He angrily hissed at her in a low and calm tone.

Bella stunned by Edward's outburst and let out the tears she was holding since Derek's father called her. 'I don't mean to be dishonest with you, Edward. I just don’t want you to be in this mess. Lahat ito dahil sa akin and it should be me who should fix it." She calmly explained as tears flowed from her eyes.
