One week after Edward and Bella arrived in New York
(Manhattan New York: Anderson and Anderson Newly Built New York Office)
Bella was seated at her office; her mind was still wandering towards Edward’s inconsistent behavior. When they landed in New York he told her that they will be meeting with his father but at the last minute Edward decided against it. Instead of staying at the house of his parents as agreed upon when they were planning this trip, Edward booked them at the penthouse of Four Seasons Hotel, one of the best five star hotels in New York.
“What’s with the change of plan, Edward?” She asked him as soon as the bellboy of the hotel guided them towards the VIP Elevator that will lead them to the penthouse suite of the said hotel.
“The plans changed, Love. Just trust me on this.” Edward simply told her. She decided to remain silent and not argue with him but deep inside her, she knows that Edward is hiding something from her.
And now a week after, Edward seems to be still bothered with something. They make love every night with so much intensity and so much urgency as if something will happen in the next few days. She tried her best to casually ask Edward but he was elusive. He keeps on telling her that she needs to trust him and he loves her so much. Bella can’t help but be worried. She wanted to help him but she does not know how.
Every night that they make love, she let him feel her. She wanted him to be secure of her love for him. In her mind and heart that is the only way she knows how to help him with whatever he is bothered about.
Bella was still deep in her thoughts when someone knocked at the door of her office. She let out a silent sigh and lifted her head.
“Come in.” She softly shouted as she sat straight on her chair.
“Can I talk to you for a while, Iha?” Enrique’s Anderson voice asked her as he entered her office. Bella suddenly stood up from her chair and approached the older man.
“Mr. Anderson. Good Morning.” She tentatively greeted him as she guided him towards the couch at the left side of her Manhattan office.
The old man smiled at her warmly and patted her shoulder. She smiled at him. “Please have a seat, Sir.” She softly told him as she made sure that he is comfortable. She then walked towards the single couch across from where Mr. Anderson was seated and sat herself as she elegantly crossed her legs.
“What can I do for you, Sir?” She asked him politely a spark of curiousness in her eyes.
“Just call me Tito Enrique, Iha. I am not sure if Edward told you but I have heard a lot of good words about you both from the employees and my son.” Edward’s father started and gave her a tad smile. Bella smiled back at him.
“Thank you, Sir.” She shyly said to him as she controlled her blush. Enrique Anderson looked at her intently in the eye. “She now knows where Edward got his looks. His father looks like an older version of him and at his age he still looks very handsome.” She silently told herself as she shyly glanced at the man in front of him.
“I love my son very much Bella, and his mother and I support him all the way. I worked my ass off to give him the life he has now, a life that was deprived to me when I was a little boy. Edward has a rough teenage years, he knows that he was good looking and rich and he take advantage of that. I know you know the history of his relationship with Megan. When that incident happened my son manned up. He matured and his mother and I were very proud of him. He continued to be a good son, a good businessman and a good person. We’ve never been prouder of him.” Mr. Anderson continued. He then paused and looked at Bella.
