Edward went back to Shangri-La Makati and went straight to his parent’s suite, they are checked in the said hotel for the event. He lightly knocked on the door and waited for his parents to open it.

He was surprised when the little angel opened it for him and she was on tears that Edward can’t help but envelop her little body in his arms.

“Why is my little princess crying?” He gently asked her as they entered his parent’s suite. Edward carried her until they reach the couch in the receiving area of the elegant room.

He sat at the couch and sat Amelie on his lap. His princess buried her face at the crook of his neck, like her mother does to him back when they were still together.

“Princess, why is my baby girl crying.’ Edward whispered in his daughter’s ear. “Amelie, lifted her little head from his neck as she sniffed on it one more time.

“Dada, Grandpi said that Mommy and I will go back to NeeeeeeeeeewYork but you will be staying here in Manila. I don’t want to go back to NeeeeeeeeeeewYork dada. I want to stay with you. Please tell mommy we stay, please.” Amelie pleaded as tears flow from her eyes, making her father tear up as well. The little girl was deprived by a father for years and he cannot stop to blame himself for doing this to her. Her mother might be at fault but it was he who should be blamed.

He remembered what his parents told him before he followed Bella at her hotel.

Flashback:

His dad passed Amelie to her as soon as Echo Rosales and Sarah left the ballroom. The little girl grabbed his neck and circled her little arms around it as she gave him small kisses on his cheeks. Edward can’t help but chuckled on how his babygirl treats him considering they just know each other that day.

“Dada, Mommy always tells me stories about you.” Amelie softly told him in between butterfly kisses. “She always tells me that you were her hero and that you are my king.” Her daughter added as his father watches them. They were at the secluded area of the ballroom and all of them were still recovering from the shock that was caused by the scene awhile ago.

“Amelie why don’t you go to your grandma, your dada and I will talk first. Go to grandma, Nana Bel is with her.” His father instructed her daughter as he guided her towards his mother and the Nanny.

Edward waited for his father. “He obviously know his granddaughter, Amelie seems to be close to his parents. He had this realization as soon as Sarah left. His daughter cried in her grandparents’ arms as they consoled their grandchild. His father approached him and sat with him at a secluded table, his mother following her husband.

His mother looked at him and sat beside her husband. “We are sorry Edward; we kept all this from  you as per Bella’s request.” His father started and looked at him.

“Bella told us as soon as she learned that she was pregnant. Both of you are too broken and when Bella requested not to tell you. We’ve thought it will be best because we know that you two will settle things and soon you will know but you two choose to deepen the pain inside.” His father continued and paused for a while as he looked at him intently.

“Your mother and I thought we don’t have to meddle between you and Bella. Both of you are on the right age and on the right mind to settle things on your own, now we regret on doing that decision as we are in pain seeing our granddaughter hurting but what pained us most is seeing you and Bella closing your souls because of the pain you both caused in each other.” Enrique Anderson emotionally told his son.
