THE CROSSROAD TO LOVE

CHAPTER TWELVE

“Do you want to take a shower first? If you will spend the day with me you have to change your clothes.” Bella told Edward as she picked on the food in her plate.

Edward nodded to her and smiled. “I have extra clothes at my car’s trunk. My gym bag is always loaded of extra clothes as sometimes I work out before office hours or after.” He said to her. Bella nodded and finished her breakfast.

She was about to clear the plates when Edward stopped her by holding on her wrist. “You cooked the breakfast, Bella. Let me wash the dishes then.” He told her as he grabbed the plate in her hand. He then cleared the plates in the table and proceeded to the sink.

“Why don’t you hire someone to help you in here?” He asked her as she looked at him from the kitchen table. “I am used to being independent, I guess.” She simply answered him. Edward nodded and shrugged his shoulder.

“You know what Bella, sometimes you need someone who will help you get on with life. Being strong doesn’t mean being independent.” He told her in a serious tone he always used to her if he wanted her to understand his point.

Bella laughed at him lightly and stood up from her seat. “Quit on lecturing me, Edward. Please spare me for now. Ang aga aga eh.” She teased as she walked towards him. She then stood beside him at the sink and grabbed on the kitchen towel as she started to dry off the dishes he already  washed.

As soon as they’ve finished the dishes, Edward went out to his car to get his gym bag. Bella on the other hand prepared the bathroom for him.

“The bathroom on my bedroom is already ready. You can use it now for your shower.” Bella announced as he entered the living room after he got his gym bag at his car. Edward smiled at her and nodded.

“Want to join me?” He teased. Bella rolled her eyes at him and shook her head. “Not funny Mr. pretend boyfriend.” She countered and let out a sarcastic laugh as she sat Indian style at the sofa in the living room. She then opened the plasma TV that was mounted at the wall in front of her living room and across that sofa where she is seated.

Edward was about to ascend the stairs and proceed with his shower when he heard his name form the Television.

Edward Anderson of A&A Models Inc. was seen with former top ramp and commercial model, Bella Geronimo. The two were seen together at the Fashion Gala 2012 which was held at NBC Tent last night. Geronimo was ex the girlfriend of Derek Anderson and Edward Anderson’s cousin.

Did the top model already moved on from her ex boyfriend and into his hunkier and wealthier cousin? We will soon find out as the Andersons and Geronimo Saga continues.

It was also a surprised when Derek R. Anderson graced the Fashion Gala as well. The media and the fashion industry was stunned by his appearance at the said event as he was known to be based in Paris for three years now and the fashion world was not forewarned by his return in the country.

Does an Anderson VS Anderson boxing match for Love would take place any time soon? The media was also informed, last night that Derek and his wife Anne Curtis Anderson had finally called it quits as they filed for a divorce a month ago.

I wonder what’s the take of Bella Geronimo regarding this issue. Or is she happier now in the arms of the Chairman and CEO of A&A models.

Tim Yap reported in one of the early morning talk show in one of the local channels in the country. Edward stopped midway the stairs and looked directly at Bella who was staring at the TV blankly, her expression unreadable.

“I guess our aim is progressing. We’ve definitely got the media and the people buzzing and with Derek’s sudden return I think the plot will be thicker.” He lightly said to her as he tried to lighten the mood as he saw Bella’s shocked expression after hearing the news.

“I’ve been branded as a home wrecker and a mistress three years ago, Edward. Being linked to my Ex boyfriend’s cousin is not a big news to me now.” She sarcastically told him as she gave him a bitter smile.

“And I must say that we don’t look bad as a pretend couple, women would actually envy me after seeing the news.” She added and winked at him.

Edward laughed at her retort and shook his head. “Let’s heat up the pretend Babe, and go shower with me.” He teased as he hurriedly continued to ascend the stairs.

He heard Bella groaned disgustedly from downstairs. Edward smiled at himself as he remembered the line she used on him as soon as she went down  the stage and saw Derek offering his hand for her.

“Have Derek scorned you that much, Bella?” He asked himself as he entered her bedroom to proceed with his shower. 

They were both dressed and was about to visit Bella’s café and pastry shop when they heard the doorbell rang. Bella looked at him.

“Who may that be?” Bella whispered to him as she signaled him to stay at the living room. “I’ll just check on the intruder.” She added and smiled at him.

Bella walked towards the front door and was stunned to see the ghost of her past standing at her doorsteps and was looking at her with judgmental eyes.

“What are you doing here and how did you know my place? She angrily asked him, a bitter tone was emphasized from her voice.

“Why does Edward’s car parked in front of your place, Bella?” Derek countered at her and menacingly looked at her.

“Not for you to ask, Derek and how dare you asked me that.” She hissed as she looked at him with heated eyes. “Now, leave and don’t ever show your face again.” She added as she banged the door in Derek's face.
