Ashton found a place for us to stay for the night. It was a house that was located just a few yards away from the place we found Max.

We were going to stay here for at least two nights, we needed time to rest and go over a plan. Plus, I needed a little time to recover from Jaxs' death and Max needs to eat.

I've decided to keep Max, Alex, Amelia and her parents out of the mission that involves killing Joey. They would only be in my way.

I would be too focused on making sure they're okay than actually taking down Joey. They're also my weak spot and I can't have them roaming around.

Honestly, it would be probably better if I kept them close to me, right?

Because in movies some shit always happens whenever the main person leaves them alone. It won't happen to us though.

This isn't some dumb cliché movie. It's real life and shit like that don't actually happㅡ

You know what, just for safety reasons, I'm going to split everyone into two teams. We'll have one team with Amelia them, they won't be anywhere near me and they'll constantly be on the move.

Which means they won't be able to get them, you can't get your target if it keeps moving, right?

Coming up with good plans and shit. Ashton would be proud or at least he should.

Since when do I need his approval? Well, if I do want this plan to through, I need his help.

There should be no shame in me asking him for help, there are worse things I could do.

"Ash? Could we speakㅡ" everyone turned their heads in my direction and I dug my nails into my skin "ㅡ alone. Can we speak alone?"

He nodded before telling Matthew that he'd be right back. Once I saw him walking towards me I turned on my heels and walked in the direction of the door.

I wanted to discuss my plan and hear his opinions, since we're going to be working together from now on.

We needed to discuss that as well. I wanted to know how this was going to work, we couldn't get romantically involved because itsㅡ

"Katherine?" Ashton spoke as he gently closed the door

I looked at him with a neutral expression and leaned against the wall. He raised an eyebrow as he approached me.

"Here me out okay?" I started out, he nodded slowly and I took a deep breathe, "Right so, for when we officially go to Joeys place tomorrow or the day after. Let's split into two groups, okay soㅡ" he cut me off

"What?" He looked at me, his eyes slightly narrowed, "Are you insane? We can't split up, I won't risk you getting hurt or worse. Killed."
